Dr. Kunal Thakkar, MD

I called Dr. Thakkar's office last week to set up an appointment and was told that Dr. Thakkarsaid he couldn't help me and i should go to UF HEALTH. Then i got an email asking me to confirm an appointment so i called. The lady was rude and said, you didn't talk to me are you sure you called the right doctor. I asked for the office manager and they told me, oh she left for the day but she will call you on Monday. Monday i called back and they said, oh she just left for the dayy. the lady got rude and hung up. I called back and she sent my call to the answering service. I called Tuesday and they said, oh shes busy. So i told them to drop dead

I had a piece of hearing aid stuck in my ear canal. This happened just prior to a scheduled (unrelated) major surgery, and I was highly anxious to get it out ASAP. Dr. Thakkar and everyone in the office could not have been nicer! They saw me immediately and Dr. Khakkar was able to remove the plastic object that was lodged deep into my ear canal. Everyone was kind, efficace and efficient in that office. I received excellent care.

I really don’t get this guy. I saw him 3 times for the same problem. No appt. Lasted more than 5 minutes, he was always in a rush. I started with a cough that became severe pain in my sinus and has radiated into my ear and side of my head. He did a few tests that were inconclusive. Even though the problem still persisted he basically said there was nothing he could do and gave me the bum's rush. This is NOT the doctor you want if you expect thoroughness, sensitivity, professionalism and-or action and results.

I had surgery about 10 years ago to fix my deviated septum, where they used stents and packing. It was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I fell and broke my nose about 1 month ago and needed the surgery again. I cannot tell you how easy Dr. Thakkar made me feel with the newest procedure that was honestly a breeze, compared to my first procedure. Dr. Thakkar has a very calm and reassuring bedside manner and is so respectful. I cannot tell you how much respect I have for him and his team.

I was there with a sinus inflammation and pressure and after 2 min. prescribed me antibiotic without telling me what is going on. No explanation. I guessed was for infection ,but after 2 weeks he give me another antibiotics. After i left he was calling me on my phone to don't came back,to discharge my antibiotic because I don't have sinusitis, and to go to neurolgy.i think was unprofessional and was playing with my time and health. 1 star is to write my review only.

Without a doubt the most professionally run doctors office I have had the pleasure to be a client of. Dr. Thakkar is the ultimate class professional , which carries over to his absolutely fantastic staff. Shout out to Bree, she is always on top of things.

Visited Dr. Thakkar twice to evaluate a Vestibular Schwannoma (tumor). I would describe his approach as lazy and overly self-confident. He spent little time getting my clinical history or explaining the results of my tests. He left me to figure out which questions to ask. I felt like I was pulling teeth to understand my options as well as what to expect in the future. If you need someone to address a sinus infection, he might be great. For anything more serious, go elsewhere.

Awesome doctor ! After being seated for literally 2 minutes my name was called in which the doctor followed me in just a few mins later. Super courteous and actually took the time to break things down in lamens terms so I understood what was going on !

Dr. Thakkar is great! I was suffering from continual nasal infections and extremely congested sinuses. Dr. Thakkar diagnosed that I had a severe case of polyps and a slight deviated septum. The entire process from the diagnosis, pre-op, the actual surgery and post-op was very efficient and trouble free. My post-op visits where on time (like almost no waiting) and Dr. Thakkar patiently and professionally explained my recovery progress. I can breathe so freely now and I no longer have recurring

Recently referred to Dr. Thakkar by my Primary Care Physician. Was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and Dr. Thakkar. Fortunately I was seeing him for a minor problem, yet one I had been dealing with for years. Dr. Thakkar diagnosed the issue and with a prescription of drops and an ointment, I was cured!

A couple years ago, Dr. Thakkar did my septoplasty (deviated septum). He exuded confidence and when I told him I was nervous about having it done, he calmly and kindly explained how easy the procedure would be and he answered all my questions. Today he did a very minor surgery to remove a growth in my mouth. He gave me 3 options for dealing with my situation. I chose to have him take the growth out then and he easily did it.

When my mother and I stumbled upon Dr Kunal Thakkar located in Jacksonville Beach, we automatically realised he was the most knowledgeable, accurate, precise, professional, and highly experienced doctor to choose for the job to be done. He welcomed us with great manners, courtesy, and respect. He discovered my problem right away and knew what the right treatment would be in this case. We recommend Dr Thakkar to anyone who is in search for an Ear, Nose, or Throat doctor.

I moved to Jacksonville 2 years ago and was fortunate enough to have been referred to Dr Thakkar. He is excellent. The entire staff if wonderful in this office. Ease of scheduling all the way through following up with me after sinus surgery. I absolutely would recommend Dr Thakker.

I went to my primary care doctor and a nurse there perforated my ear drum. Woke up the next morning with blood all on my pillow. I went to the ER. I was told to see a ENT. Dr Thakkar seen me first thing Monday morning. He repaired my ear with a patch. Went back two weeks later and he had to repair it some more. He did an excellent job. Saved me from needing surgery. Office staff was great. Office very clean. Doctor was excellent.

I consulted Dr. Thakkar regarding a severe sinus infection from oral surgery--the infection had lasted over two months. Dr. Thakkar recommended “Balloon Sinuplasty”--this procedure was done in his office, required only a half hour, and was essentially painless. Within two days of the procedure, I was much improved, and at the end of 10 days of antibiotics was back to normal. Dr. Thakkar is an excellent physician, as well as a good listener and communicator. I recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Thakkar is an outstanding physician. He is patient and makes you feel comfortable. He explains what is going on and always asks if there are any questions or concerns. I was initially seeing him for AN and I was going through another problem with my allergies. He took a look and he found that I had a deviated septum. He told me about the surgery and said it may help with my constant sinus problems. The surgery went well. I have never breathed so well in my life.

I found him little bit rude and ignorant. He dint listen about my problem and prescribed me heavy dose of medicine which is addictive. He should have found the solution to cure the problem and not just prescribe me something that would temporarily help the pain go away and get me addicted to it. Asked one of my friends later about him and she said he dint diagnose the problem right and sent her home without any course of action. He was just in a rush of getting us out of there.
