Rude staff
Only met the doctor himself once when he dug the nexaplanon out of my arm he seemed fine then. Got pregnant again and had no choice but him or drive hours so went with him. Ended up having a miscarriage during which his nurse and NP were rude and short with me and told me not to go to the ER again because he had already marked the pregnancy non viable and he's the obgyn. I never saw him since they don't do appointments until later in the pregnancy but his staff is beyond rude. I'll be driving for any further obgyn needs I have, I'd rather deliver in my car on the way to the hospital than be made to feel how his staff made me feel ever again.

Terrible experience!
Unfortunately, I didn't have much of a choice but to have dr aurand deliver my son as my Dr left 20 days before I was due. And he is who took over her practice. Living I. A rural area choices are limited. Prior to having my son I wasn't real pleased. He rarely checked me and wasn't interested in my wishes. We had a specific birth plan that was thrown out the window. Now even 5 months postpartum he has yet to do a pelvic exam, or follow any of the wishes of my birth plan. Having endometriosis and pcos for many years and having many recommendations for a hysterectomy he is wanting me to have a 2nd opinion after telling me 3 months ago he would schedule the procedure. The office is very unfriendly and unhelpful. Personally I feel it is pure laziness. He took to much on doubling his practice and treats patients like a number! I will be seeking other care and will definitely not be recommending.

Wonderful OB
Dr. Aurand was my OB for 8 years when he was practicing in Owosso. He delivered all three of my children. I always felt so comfortable with him and felt he was very caring and understand. I was so sad when he left and now he's 2 hours away so it's not feasible for me to drive that far. I will forever be grateful for the care he took while I was his patient.

Person I reached on phone was rude and demeaning. I wanted to see the doctor. Whilst explaining the problem I have, which is r/t a congenital anomaly and menopause, she crudely don't me "if you don't use it you lose it". So, I was supposed to what, pick up guys at a bar and sleep around? Not the way I do things. I felt so degraded I haven't been anywhere in over a decade.

I had Dr Aurand as my OB doc, his nurse was usually pretty short tempered and rude, the ultrasound tech in the office is far from pleasant. Usually when you get the chance to see your baby it is a fun exciting time, but she has never smiled or made any ultrasound fun for me. She presses really firm and hurts. I've had ultrasounds done at the hospital and the diagnostic center with a lot more friendly and personable techs.

My daughter went to him during her pregnancy and had problems almost from the beginning. I kept telling her she needed to go to a specialist but she thought "mom" was just a worry wart and if it was as bad as I kept saying why didn't her Dr send her to one. Long story short, I almost lost both of them. By the time I forced her to go to Hurley she was told it was a miracle she didn't stroke out. They did an emergency c-sec and my grandson was born weighing 2#5oz.

Found him to be factual yet cold and uncaring when relaying information. He may be a good physician for delivering babies but not so good with Women going through menopause. I found him to be demeaning and will not be returning.
