Dr. Kurt Kurowski, MD

Ever since choosing Dr. Kurowksi, I have experienced nothing but poor service under his care. It is very difficult to schedule an appointment with him, and even when you do, he does not take enough time to properly evaluate your concerns with you. I do not believe that he is caring or a responsible doctor. His staff are also very difficult and can be very rude to talk to. I would strongly consider going to the other direction, when looking for quality care.

I took my son and myself here as new patients today. The process to get setup and seen was very efficient. Dr. Kurowski and staff were super friendly. The Dr. Answered and addressed all concerns we had for the visit and helped with new scripts we needed. No referrals to a specialist, which I was relieved for. A lot of doctors (MD) in CA seem to push you off to a specialist for things unnecessary. More or less give you “the runaround”. Will recommend given the opportunity

I am extremely dissatisfied with Dr. Kurowski. I came to him seeking help with my weight and anxiety struggles, and we performed a cortisol blood test. He told me over the phone that it was healthy, but for the past 4 months, I have been struggling anxiety and depression. I came back to him and I was prescribed a blood pressure medication where I experienced immediate side effects, such as hot flashes. I informed Dr. Kurowski of my symptoms, but they were dismissed. I went to another provider for a 2nd opinion, and they brought to my attention through the same blood test results he took 4 mo. ago, my cortisol came back flagged. When I came to inform Dr. Kurowski of my second opinion, he cut off our relationship. Dr. Kurowski needs to learn how to check his work, invest himself in his patients, listen to the patient's symptoms, and be more open to alternative solution, when his methods are not working.

No I would absolutely not. First time seeing him after my long term Doctor passed away, and he immediately insisted I go back on a medication that was already known to cause me severe symptoms. Refused to prescribe my elderely family member pain medication even though it was taken very little and only when pain was severe (in a patient with known medical painful conditions). Refused to discuss with me, and took no time with me discussing my many issues. Arrogant. Very Arrogant. Also told me to keep taking a medication that caused severe bad side effects. Zero consideration for patients.

Dr Kurowski is a very thorough doctor who takes a fair amount of time with his patients. He has been helping me fulfill a fairly large checklist that I need to do for preop and he calls me and updates me each time my results come in and explains everything that the tests cover, what the results are and why my results are good or bad and what I need to do to correct this. .

Kurowski is judgmental, holds grudges, and genuinely treats his patients like garbage over the most menial things. His attitude is absolutely sickening and it's good to hear he's leaving Bellin. He won't be missed. I switched to Prevea along with at least 5 people I personally know since Kurowski came to Bellin. Avoid him and Bellin's clinics at all costs. You won't feel cared for.
