A shrink that needs more meds than me. Beware.
Worst doctor I've ever met. Take it from a highly functioning mentally ill person. I know one when I see one. He's answering personal calls carrying on with them during his appointments. He needs a geriatric center with plenty-o-meds. His secretary is rude and needs a GOOD psychiatrist. I'm livid he has a license.

Unable to contact
Started seeing him after my daughter passed away around Christmas. 6 months and it’s a struggle to contact him. Currently there in no answering service or machine for after hours and I’m out of Rx. It’s been a month and the line is constantly busy or off the hook during business hours.

This guy was completely unprofessional. He immediately prescribed me multiple antidepressants but took me off my anxiety medication (that I was already prescribed) because, "If I write you this script, they'll tear my plague off the wall!" Along with many other overly dramatic statements. When I told him about the dangerous withdraws he said "It is not my problem." All he cares about is you booking appointments so he can get a paycheck. Waited an entire hour to talk to him for 10 minutes. He couldn't care less about my mental health or helping me in any way. Don't see this guy. Literally anyone would be better. An old lady getting a coffee at McDonald's would be a better psychiatrist.

Dr. Matthews 0/10. I saw him for irritability. After waiting an hour after my appointment, he asked me how I was doing. I told him it’s irritating how long you always have to wait. He told me to find another doctor. I was like are you serious? He said if you don’t calm down I will call the police and have you hospitalized. I was like and tell them what? He said I feel threaten. I wasn’t even mad. I’m like what? I fear for his patients. Talks on his personal cell during appts, huge med pusher!

Very short with patients, does not input your concerns at all. Extremely dismissive.

When Dr. Mathew was in private practice I went in for an appointment. He had the audacity to pick up the phone and carry on a PERSONAL conversation, with whoever it was on the other end of the phone. The ENTIRE hour I sat across the desk waiting for him to acknowledge I was there for an appointment. He never quit talking on the phone. Basically my insurance paid for me to sit and listen as he carried on a conversation with someone else over the phone. He is rude.

I have been a client of Dr Mathew for years! Although the waiting time can at times be long I understand that he is dedicated to his patients in day treatment as well as myself. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a Dr! He has helped me with life's struggles and allowed me to be a productive person again!

Dr. Matthew treated my daughter. She had numerous hospitalizations due to severe depression and suicidal thoughts. She needed medication adjustments to help her. He gave up on her and asked her to find another psychiatrist. Also, it was not uncommon to wait an hour after scheduled appointment time to see him.

I had been a patient for nearly a decade when Dr Matthew decided to drop me as a patient with no explanation. He didn't even have the decency to inform me in person or have any discussion at all. I was notified by the receptionist. I was left hanging, with the medications that he put me on, and having to quickly find a new doctor to keep my medication consistent. I consider the way I was treated to be very unethical. After several attempts, his office still has not released my records.
