First rate.
Staff professional and friendly and are simply just 'plugged in' to their patients and their medical issues. They know your name and have the answer before you even get the question asked. Communication is seamless.Dr. Anderson explained everything exceptionally well even when there was a bump in the road with my scheduled surgery. I felt involved and heard and was a well-informed patient. Surgery center in Troy was also first rate and I couldn't have asked for better care from start to finish.

Dr. Anderson was very kind and so was his staff. I was in a lot of pain with my shoulder and I had a reverse shoulder replacement surgery within a couple of weeks. I received the best care and have been kept basically pain free after surgery. I am extremely happy with the care I received. Dr Anderson is awesome!!!!

A complete nightmare
Dr. Anderson is a great surgeon but his staff is the worst I have ever seen. I had a procedure go bad and continued to call his office. The receptionist said my chart states they are monitoring it and to give it time. Called numerous times and saying i was getting worse and receptionist never gave messages to anyone. Spent 13 days in hospital and almost lost my arm. Beware.

Very diappointed
I went to this Dr's. Office after a terrible fall and had terrible pain in my shoulder. I saw his Physicians assistant on my first visit. I received a shot and a x ray. Showed no breaks in my shoulder so they sent me to Physical therapy. When my inflammation became so bad she (PA) put me on a prednisone pack. That didn't help so I went back. She ordered a MRI and told me after the MRI I would definitely see Dr.Anderson. A few days later a clinical technician called me and told me the MRI didn't match my symtoms. Whatever that meant. I understand Dr.Anderson is a surgeon and I assume since they didn't see a reason for surgery I was completely dismissed over the phone to see another doctor. NEVER SAW THE DOCTOR and I called back to find out what I should do in the meantime until I found another doctor. Been suffering for 8 weeks. Very unprofessional. Good news for me is I found another doctor that I have complete confidence in. I repeat Very unprofessional doctor

My husband made an apt to see dr Anderson for a shoulder injury. When he arrived at the office he never even saw dr Anderson. His apt was with a nurse practitioner who examined him and sent him for an mri. When the results came in someone called him from the office and told him the results were unclear and they wanted him to come in for another test. This test would be done by a P A or another nurse practioner. The results were never explained to him and the treatment was never discussed as to what it was suppose to do, He never had any conversation or saw the dr who he made an apt to see. He will not be going back to him as he made an apt with another dr.

Dr. Anderson has performed 2 shoulder surgeries and I had great success with both of them-one was a 're-do' from another doctor. He's thorough, explains everything in a clear, concise manner, he has a wonderful staff from the front desk to his PA, X-ray Tech, etc...highly recommend Dr. Anderson!

From the office staff to the surgical center and especially Dr. Anderson the level of care I received for my reverse shoulder replacement was exceptional. Not only did the results exceed my expectations but it was with minimal pain and scarring. Unlike other doctors I went to, Dr Anderson had me out of my brace and moving my arm within 24 hours. I was golfing within 4 months and weight lifting 3x a week. It has been 6 months and my mobility is near normal and my pain has been reduced by 90%. Highly recommend!

Poor experience. PA and doctor did cursory exam and looked at MRI which said tears in rotator cuff. I expected a more thorough exam from a specialist. He said the tears couldn't be causing my pain and it must be nerve pain but he did no tests for that. He didn't explain how it could be nerve pain when I don't have tingling or numbness anywhere. He didn't even do a cortisone shot for the inflammation he said I have, so I wouldn't be in so much pain. He sent me to another doctor for the injection. I'm unclear how an orthopedic specialist can't do a cortisone shot. Then he wanted me to see TWO more doctors, specialists in pain management, one not even open yet because of COVID. I have no idea why two more different doctors are needed nor could the PA really explain. My primary doctor got me in and at least gave me a torodol shot to manage pain until I see a different orthopedic specialist tomorrow. I thought I would get my problem explained, but I didn't.

My husband had shoulder surgery a couple months ago with Dr Anderson. Surgery seems to have gone well but the nightmare of his office seemingly never ends. They don’t answer the phone. They call you back at THEIR convenience days later...or not at all so you have to call AGAIN and leave ANOTHER message. They keep your credit card on file (big red flag!). Wrongly charged me as a “no-show”....(THEY cancelled the appt!).... it has been a MONTH and I still have not been credited for the error. The “billing dept” seems to be in another country!!!! They say they are in Troy, MI, but every one of them I have spoken to has a heavy accent, and they can never correct anything....just say it will be two weeks more... on repeat! This has truly been the most frustrating office I have EVER had to deal with in my lifetime! Buyer Beware!!

Dr. Anderson seemed personable and I had confidence in him. But I’ve been in pain ever since I had my shoulder surgery. When I went back a few times and told him I was in pain, he did a simple little hand press and said I was fine. I am kept awake every night with pain in the shoulder that was operated on. And two years later the pain is getting worse. This was not successful surgery.

Severed my Patellar tendon while oversees on vacation. Upon my return was able to see Dr. Anderson and schedule surgery without delay. It's been a long road to recovery and I still have a ways to go but I am grateful for a great experience from pre-op through to ongoing post-op follow up. Very personable experience with office and medical staff. Dr. Anderson is a genuinely nice person. Thank You.

Had both shoulders replaced via the reverse shoulder procedure and have returned to doing everything that I had been doing previously but without the pain and constant worry about further injuries. I am now 73 and work part time, exercise on a treadmill and lift weights 3 times per week. The entire process via Dr. Anderson and his staff was both mentally and physically rewarding and I could not be more satisfied! Outstanding experience!
