Dr. Kyle Chock, DMD

Been with him since I arrived here in Hawaii. Best dentist since I was four years old. Best dentist on the Big Island. Primary work, really cares. He is the best ever. And I have had dental work since four years old. So much pain, but not with Dr. Chock. Top notch care.

He neglected to repair a tooth that became infected and was almost lost. He got mad when I said I did not want a crown on another tooth, and the repair he made failed within a year. Another dentist who fixed the tooth said he did not even fill the void completely, just put a "plate" on top, and did not cure the resin which made it soft and break apart.

My first experience with Dr. Chock was to cap a tooth and have a routine cleaning performed. Everything that was done during the 2-visit process to cap the tooth was done very smoothly. The doctor and staff continuously checked on my comfort level, and wasted no time in completing not only the intended cap work, but also filled a cavity on a molar, did cosmetic work on a front tooth, and performed a complete cleaning. Additionally, a protruding blemish on an older filling was removed without my even calling attention to it. At the end of the day, I was so happy with the results of Dr. Chock's work, as my mouth felt renewed with the new cap and all the other work that had been done. During the work, I also noted several procedures and techniques that were new to me, possibly indicating that the practice keeps current for the sake of its patients. Besides being very skilled, Dr. Chock and staff are a very professional and courteous bunch. (For Wendy and Brook., I have only praise.)

He acts nice, but is actually very manipulative, insisting teeth need pulled when they don't. He neglected filling a cavity saying the tooth should be extracted, and made no attempt to keep the tooth healthy. He "forgot" to harden a resin filling after I refused a crown. The man is not trustworthy.

Dr. Chock and his whole staff were so professional and Dr. Chock exceeded all my expectations. I consider myself so lucky to have him as my dentist. He is absolutely the best! He follows up with a phone call every time you have a procedure done. He doesn’t do any work that is not necessary. His office is very clean and the view from the dental chair is relaxing and beautiful!

I didn't have to wait. Dr. Chock was kind, smart and fast and my teeth were in bad shape. He has state of the art equipment and the best, kindest staff. I will stay with him until I'm all pau.

I was given poor advice that was costly and led to more problems. I sought two second opinions from other dentists who informed me that Dr.Chock values profit over the health of his patients.

Dr. Kyle is like "ohana" or family. He cares about his patients individually and deeply; he calls them after each significant procedure, he's concerned about their pain levels and willingly explores options to expensive procedures that may not be necessary. His staff is also reflective of his personality and character. They are loving, concerned, always interested in patients as individuals...it's almost as if you are "adopted" in their family! Professionally Dr Chock is talented and current.

Dr. Chock has been our family's dentist for 22 years. He is fantastic.
