Highest Integrity. Puts patient needs FIRST.
Dr. Kyle Colle, DO, is a BRILLIANT Neurosurgeon who dares to go where others won’t. I had a 3-level ACF (different surgeon) in 2019. Then a Staph infection (Osteomyelitis) in 2021. For 8 months in 2022 I had excruciating pain. An MRI report said, “it COULD be Osteomyelitis, or acute swelling from trauma.” Previous neuro & SIX others declined to see me when they read the MRI report. I called Joint Implant Surgeons of FL & got the miracle I needed – in the form of Dr. Kyle Colle. He said, “Come in, we'll take a look at that neck!” By looking at the MRI films, Dr. Colle confirmed NO infection. He also identified broken hardware, broken screws, AND a broken neck! We scheduled posterior fusion (C4-T1) surgery that same day. Dr. Colle is kind, compassionate, engaged in the health & well-being of his patients, and very easy to talk to and understand. He does not shrink down on doing the difficult and “messy” surgeries. Today, my neck is stable – all because Dr. Colle said “Yes!"

Dr. Colle wasn't there
My appt. was with Dr. Colle, however his PA came in for the consult - I am not happy about that. I have a long history of complicated back problems, and expected to consult with the doctor. The PA said...well you can have surgery to fuse the SI joint, without any sort of education about the joint and why it should be fused. I asked about that, and inquired about how my other spinal issues will be impacted by surgery. His response - not a problem! This is pretty serious stuff - we're talking about my deformed and degenerated spine. My question: are there other non surgical options? PA answer: you could try seeing Dr. Fetzer about pain management. Honestly I feel like this situation could have been handled in a more professional and empathetic way if the doctor had the courtesy of being in the room for my appointment.

Dr. Colle is Terrific.
He did my L3-L4 / L4-L5 decompression surgery in Dec. 2021, and solved my longstanding issue with Sciatic Nerve pain. He explains things clearly, shows you on your MRI and X-rays exactly what is wrong, and provides options from minimally-invasive to full-scale surgical solutions. My kind of surgeon.

Great Skill
After seeing my X-rays & MRI of my spine, he explained what was causing my pain. After my surgery, the next day I was up on my feet. No pain when even getting up & down in 2 weeks. Off meds & stitches out also. I was a Level 1, but prior to surgery the only way I could avoid pain was being a cough potato. Thank you Dr. Collie!

Great Surgeon!
Dr. Colle did a fabulous job doing a 3 disc cervical fusion on my neck. He was very professional and his staff MA Tim and PA Alex were both valued members as well. The only negative in the whole system is they are a quite busy medical group and because I am a Veteran getting results and request were not as smooth as I have had with other medical groups.

very bad experience
initial consultation was discuss the intracept procedure for my chronic low back pain. I brought a recent MRI disc with me and Mentioned that the prior year i had consulted with another surgeon in this practice who stated there was no surgery he could do for me. I have been getting injections in my lumbar spine for many years and they are not as effective as they once were . Dr. Colle spent 15 seconds reviewing the MRI and told me the procedure would definitely work for me. The day of surgery while i was in pre-op the Doctor stopped by for another 15 seconds told me I would be up an playing tennis by next week. The first 12 days following surgery my level of pain had decreased dramatically. Then, the pain was back. My post Op visit I told him that and he replied the surgery didn't work but we tried. My pain mgmnt doctor has told me I didn't fit the criteria for this procedure but I had it anyway. I have to question Dr. Colle's professional ethics.

Bad Experience
Dr Colle didn’t show after we waited an hour beyond our appointment time! His PA who is a foreign national and his English was not too good to our old ears, reviewed the MRI with us but did not provide a copy to us. He discussed a surgical procedure for our consideration and said as an intern step he would write a script for pain medication. Subsequent follow up with our pharmacy and your office found no record of a script. My wife has a serious back problem which needs the attention of a serious and dedicated physician and Dr Colle was referred to us by one of his partners who replaced my wife’s hip so we thought we would be treated better. We will try again with the office to find out what happened to the script and to get a copy of the MRI report and hope someone from the office staff reached out to us to offer help.
