Dr. Kokko repaired a tendon in my right wrist and arm. The surgery went well and the six week recovery ended with no more pain in my hand & arm! He has the best disposition and is a very caring and professional doctor. I had been in pain for so long before I went to Dr. Kokko and now I have NO pain at all! His office staff is so nice and his Occupational Therapist, Kristine is the best. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr, Kokko, an amazing doctor!

Today Kyle Kokko and his team quickly identified the source of my debilitating thumb pain and showed me what was causing this pain on a portable X-ray image. After Dr. Kokko told me the honest facts concerning the future course of my condition and outlined all options for treatment I chose to move forward with a conservative steroid injection with a removable splint for comfort. He patiently explained every step and showed me on X-ray the actual entry of the medication into the painful space, that visual made it easier for me to tolerate the pain and wait to see what happens in the next few days post treatment. Today’s treatment of my thumb was my second request for treatment from Dr. Kokko and his office staff. Two years ago he guided me through treatment of a fractured distal radial head (elbow). I was scared and in a great deal of pain but his expert professional care and calm demeanor got me through that discomfort to a place of complete healing.

My husband and I recently moved here from Indiana, a little less than a year ago. So far our experience with health care in South Carolina has been horrible. However, that was not the case with Dr. Kokko and his staff! They were all VERY friendly and professional. Best experience we have had yet and we’ve seen many doctors this past year.

De Quervains is the issue but doctor Kokko explained it to where anyone could understand. He uses wisdom. Instead of showing examples on the damage wrist he use the other. He knows his work. I’ve had another doctor check him out before going and everything was above and beyond. His care for his patients is beyond exceptional.
