Dr. Gore has performed two surgeries on our elderly Mom. In both cases she recovered well. We were pleased with his post-surgery discussions with our family.

Dr. Gore visited me in the hospital after I was admitted due to a large gallstone. At his office, his staff was polite and he was very informative when explaining the surgical procedure of removing my gallstone. I appreciated his patience with me as I asked several questions. I recovered quickly from my surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Lanny Gore!

I would not recommend this Dr. for your surgery due to my daughter's experience. Was given pain meds. that were prescribed to last 3 days, and when calling to request a refill was given excuses, told that she would need to drive 2 hrs to Floyd Memorial. When calling him, then says if it's an emergency go to your nearest hospital. Then calls that hospital & tells them to not give her any pain meds and send her on her way. 8hrs later is still there hooked up to a banana bag, & is still suffering!

I would NOT recommend Dr. Gore. He was rude and rushed for a 7:00 am colonoscopy. He didn't even enter the prep room. Then he gave the preliminary results to my niece, never speaking to me. The nurse's excuse was that he thinks patients are out of it and don't remember what he says anyway. To date, 20 later he has not posted the results on the polyp or called. His message on the answering machine pretty much tells you that many patients have called and the office has not called back.
