Disappointed
Dr. Reimer was once the leading provider in the state of Utah. I can’t say my experience was good. 50 years in the field of Infectious Disease from this doctor left me feeling ignored. He has little to no interest in hearing my point of view on my body. I was in hospital for a week, he never once stop in to check on me. When asked why, he said “ I was following your chart” that’s it. Maybe because he fail to hear me out the week before concerning not feeling well. Dr. Reimer is notorious for running labs after my appointment and informed me he would contact if he felt it was needed. When I attempted a discussion I was “you’ll be okay, your counts will go back up.” Remember that hospitalization, they didn’t. Dr. Reimer is antiquated, his bedside manor is cold. I believe his experience in the early epidemic watching people die horrible deaths has left his current point of view impaired. Unfortunately in the state of Utah he is the leading expert. Challenging him isn’t received well.
