Dr. Lathan Overstreet, MD

Dr. Overstreet is a must have if you are having a baby in Atlanta! The wait time may be a bit longer, but it is worth it. People do not realize that you WANT a doctor that takes time with each patient and does not rush through appointments. Since some doctors have a boatload of patients and only take certain insurances, some will be booked more than others. Dr. Overstreet has compassion for his patients and I appreciate that. His staff is very helpful and they have done a lot to help me. My advice is for people to be patient, and when you find a good doctor like Dr. Overstreet, be grateful. Most doctors out here will not care about you, especially if you are a woman of color or have financial challenges. Dr. Overstreet is different: He cares about his patients and does everything that he can to help improve their health. Plus, if you need a C-section, Dr. Overstreet and his team are the absolute best! P.S. It's better to call directly instead of booking online.

The only reason I am putting 1 star is so you see this comment. Dr. Overstreet was the reason my son was born stillborn. I had been misdiagnosed with SLE - lupus my whole life but when I got pregnant the symptoms kicked into high gear. According to my new OBGYN and High Risk Specialist Dr. Overstreet should have seen that I was exhibiting textbook symptoms of pre-eclamsia and toxemia - THE FIRST TRIMESTER!! I was swollen all over, I hurt, I had wavy lines crossing my vision (high blood pressure)

Dr. Lathan Overstreet is an excellent doctor but his staff is very unprofessional and unresponsive. When you arrive for your appointment, you have to wait an extended amount of time before you are actually seen. I absolutely love Dr. Overstreet but his staff makes me want to switch doctors.

The doctor and the staff are so rude and act as if they don't care about you. I will never go back to this doctor again. NEVER!!!!

Dr. Overstreet is a fantastic doctor and a blessing, but his staff is awful. It is hard to get things done when having to deal with his staff. He delivered my baby boy in 2015 and saved my life when I almost died from losing too much blood due to very large fibroids. My baby is happy and healthy! Dr. Overstreet also has too many patients. There were other services that I needed, so I ended up finding another doctor, but I do miss him. He needs to fire his staff and start over with new hires.

The staff doesn't respond to your records request nor can you get a prescription filled. I've tried for months calling and using the Patient Ally site (which I don't really think they use). I'm definitely switching back to my former doctor. I would not recommend this office to anyone..

Ladies beware I haven't been going to this doctor for a couple years now and I can't tell you how very disappointed I am. This staff just keeps getting worse. They are very unprofessional. The Secretary always has an attitude, barely speaks when you come to the counter, and is only concerned about your co-pay. The Dr's scrubs are mangy and always wrinkled. He schedules appointments and is always an hour or so late getting to the office. I have changed Dr's. Great decision!

Dr. Overstreet's staff is unprofessional and does not promote a friendly environment. I've been requesting medical records for 3 months and still have not received them. When I call, they make it seem like I'm bothering them. I don't know what to do to get my records since I'm in New Jersey and they are in Atlanta.
