A basic Google search will give you more educated answers than Dr. Heinlen. She shared facts and statistics that a few minutes of reading on Pubmed was able to disprove entirely. While I realize that rheumatology patients are challenging to diagnose and rarely textbook cases, I am alarmed at her dismissal of my positive blood work and several years of clinical symptoms as "normal". I left the office with no help and not even an avenue to pursue for alleviating symptoms, let alone getting to the root cause. PLEASE, if you care about your health, look elsewhere.

By far the worst doctor and office I've had the misfortune to visit. Dr. Heinlen will not even see you your first visit, which was fine because her PA is a much better medical professional than anyone else there. Reception will not give messages to the staff, this is according to the nurse after I said no one had returned my calls. Yes, the nurse told me the front reception doesn't give the rest of the staff their messages. Isn't that part of their job? Then you have to be warned by all staff that you will probably be over charged for your blood work and labs, but not to worry because here's a pamphlet on how to fight it. (I wasn't over charged by the lab, but still weird) Once I finally get to see the doctor, she spent less than ten minutes with me. Only looked at my blood work, asked no medical questions, said she couldn't help me because she didn't know what's wrong, and said she'd follow up with my PCP to figure out a plan. She never contacted him. Awful, degrading experience.

Cold
I had a several benefits initially with another dr who left the group. Once that dr left i was pawned off on dr heinlen which other doctors sang her praises. Her appointments left me anxious, frustrated, and i was told i don’t need to be there. I had many years of records with other doctors and imaging but the doctor never follows up in person about what was found on the imaging. Just the ma stating your fine. And suggested pain management but no referral. Mind I make it clear that i dont want pain management at my age. I cried in her office without so much as being acknowledged by her. She had nothing to say i had to beg for her to try another imaging due to her saying nothing i had previously was correct. She didn’t explain why or how the information could conflict. I felt dismissed and Left with more questions than answers.

All my experiences have been wonderful. I have seen most of her staff. They are all excellent and caring providers. I use the Infusion Clinic also. I have never had a bad experience in her office. I would recommend family and friends to Dr. Heinlen's office and have. I had my Daughter see Dr. Rogers and she loves her and the care she is getting.

I recently visited Dr. Heinlen’s office. While I don’t have a definitive diagnosis yet, I had the best possible experience. Dr. Heinlen takes the time to explain her process and provides a variety of scenarios while carefully listening to her patients’ wants and needs. Her NP, Joe, is probably the best medical professional I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His professional and positive demeanor will never be forgotten and lab tech Stacey shows her patients so much kindness and respect.

Finally, after 2 previous rheumatologist in OKC, I found the one with whom I hope to continue my treatment for rheumatoid arthritis for many years. She is kind, caring and knowledgeable, and I am very thankful for her everyday as I improve. But perhaps most importantly to me, she and I make decisions about my care together.
