My experiences with Dr Gaffney have always been very good. She always took the time to listen and explain. Very professional. I would follow her to her next location, if I knew where she is going.

Very unprofessional!!
I waited 6 months to get into see Dr. Gaffney, 2 days before my appointment I received a phone call stating that they were not going to be able to see me and told me to find another Dr. No explanation as to why. I thought maybe it was because they decided not to take new patients but when I called pretending to be someone else they were more than happy to schedule an appointment. Had I read these reviews prior to making an appointment I would have never bothered. When I went on the Adventhealth website she had nothing but rave reviews, not sure how that can be possible when so many people on this forum have nothing good to say about her. I guess this was a blessing in disguise that my appointment was cancelled.

Go elsewhere!
I went to Dr Gaffney for a little over a year and it was just NOT GOOD. I am putting this out there as a warning because I honestly feel bad for the her clientele which is mostly seniors. I was probably her youngest patient - and I am no spring chicken. Getting appointments is more than 5-6 months out and the office will say they called in refills but never do (I tried 5 times!) They told me ... well just go to immediate care and they can refill it. Really? This was me calling PROACTIVELY for 4 weeks prior to my prescription expiring.. and it finally ran out due to their negligence. I even tried to have my pharmacy request the refill and Dr. Gaffney denied it because she claimed I needed to come in for a visit. This is a medication I have taken for years.. not major meds but something for skin inflammation that I take daily as preventative. Yea - come in for an appointment but can't get in for 6 months? No call ever. I feel bad for seniors aren't able to manage this. BEWARE!

Don't waste your time
I was seen for bad fluid retention. I was very concerned (still am since it's still going on) but I don't think she even heard my complaints. She barely looked at the swelling in my legs and didn't even look at my feet and told me that my fluid retention was mild. I even have swelling in my lower back and numbness/tingling in my hands and feet. If it's so mild then why have I gained 12 lbs in a week despite eating much less? And why can I press and leave large dents in my legs, feet and back? Then she suggested stopping one of my diabetes meds and increasing my water pill for only a couple days. She also refused to address another issue I've been having and said I would need to make a separate appointment to see a PA who I won't be able to see until next year. This poor excuse for a doctor is as useless as a screen door on a submarine!

Just find another Primary...
Unfortunately, Dr. Gaffney takes a very dismissive approach with her practice and tends to rush every appointment. I can understand this happening once or maybe even twice, but leaving every single appointment with the same conclusion is unacceptable. She finds an excuse for every symptom so that no further tests are ever recommended. That being said, their office has a wonderful Physician Assistant on staff that I've been deferring to until I can find a better suited PCP.

I am taking my mom to Dr. Gaffney and I wish I could switch to her as well, unfortunately, they do not accept my insurance. Dr. Gaffney always very respectful, she listens to our concerns and tries to find the best options for my mom. My mom has cancer and other complex problems that come with it. Dr. Gaffney not only creates individualized plan of care, she also helps us to find great specialists for consultations.

Dr. Gaffney needs to learn how to respect her patients. She talks down to them and has a snarky attitude. If you disagree with her assessments, she dismisses you as if you are a delinquent student. She forgets that sometimes patients know their symptoms better than her medical book training. I'm not questioning her knowledge but how she applies that knowledge to each patient. It's not a one size fits all situation. She treats her patients as if they are stupid and inconsequential.

I was a patient of Dr. Gaffney for 1 year. Before I went to her I had been bleeding as if I was on my period for about 2 years. For almost 8 months and seeing her 6 times each time asking and her saying "wait and see" I got frantic. I was extremely worried. Finally after months of having my request being ignored she set up a transvaginal scan at the diagnostic clinic she was working at. Apparently they could not even do that much as I was told the scan did not work.. But I got billed for it...

Don't go to her!! Take time and find a better doctor, don't waste your time! She's no way is a doctor! She doesn't even deserve a star ! Doesn't want to listen to the patient, I asked some questions regarding my sickness, never got a good answer even for one ! I left the office and still don't know anything about my sickness. I called another doctor office and will be going tomorrow

I had a problem I couldn't get rid of. 3 questions and about 20 seconds we had it all figured out. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and diligent the next time I went in for a check up as well.

If I could give no scores I would. This is by far the laziest and most inexperienced Doctor I have ever been to in my life. She doesn't and won't prescribe anything. I had a major posterior spinal fusion t3-sacrum. Was off major narcotics at 3 weeks post op and needed help only at night sleeping. This doctor would prescribe me nothing less than 2 months post operation. My preop was a nightmare with her and post operative has been WORSE. Do not go to this doctor!!!
