I was a patient of Dr. Nguyen's for about two years. I was dealing with undiagnosed health issues and felt extremely frustrated about one year into our relationship. She tried to work with me but was not very helpful. I had unexplained weight gain and she recommended I stop eating peanut butter, red meat, carbs and exercise more. I'm vegan, barely eat carbs and never eat peanut butter. On top of that, I walked to and from work (2 miles) daily, exercised 5-7 per week and am extremely active. I felt like she wasn't listening to me. I went in for a prescription follow up appointment and she asked me how I was doing - I answered - not well and she continued to ask me questions about that. We chatted for a few minutes. About a month later, I received a bill for this visit, which was not normal for a prescription follow up. It turns out, they charged me for a different kind of appointment since we talked about more than my prescription. I was charged for responding to my doctor's questions

Be very careful when seeing this doctor. I got a physical and she charged me for two visits because she refilled a prescription and referred me to a specialist for another concern. So basically, she wasn't trained to evaluate my condition so she wants $100 to say "see someone else. Doctor is not transparent and doesn't explain costs. She also spent very little time with me. She is very shady. Never going back.

I'm recommending the rest of my family members to switch to Dr. Laura. She's very nice, explains everything, spends time to talk to you, gives you the latest and the greatest evidence out there.
