Dr. Nicosia is a doctor that ALWAYS listens and addresses concerns I may have. She is ALWAYS willing to dig deeper and explain and show information in a way to enlightened your understanding. I ALWAYS walk away being more knowledgeable about something whether it is related to me or not. She is ALWAYS very efficient in returning calls or communicating via the portal. Gotta love her.

Dr. Nicosia is the best doctor ono the planet!!
I am absolutely convinced that we have one of the best doctors in the entire universe right here in Jefferson Parish — and her name is Dr. Lauren Nicosia. After recently being diagnosed with COVID at an urgent care facility, I reached out to Dr. Nicosia through myOchsner’s messenger system for us to determine the best course of action for my timely recovery. As the consummate professional that she always is, Dr. Nicosia responded to my questions and assessed the stage of my diagnosis in a timely, yet thorough and efficient manner. She also prescribed medication to me, which resulted in me being asymptomatic after a few days, bringing COVID to its knees. Dr. Nicosia was highly recommended to me by neighbors when I moved to the Westbank after Katrina. Throughout the years I have gotten to know her as a truly gifted doctor and a very kind human being. She keeps her commitment to the Hippocratic Oath every second of every hour of every day. I could not ask for a better doctor than her.

Highly recommend this doctor.
There is never a visit that Dr. Nicosia doesn't take the time to answer and evaluate your medical needs and questions. I have recommended her and will continue to do so. We trust her completely and if you need to correspond with her, she will always answer by the end of the day. We are thankful to have a great caring Physician who truly cares.

The appointment was made by an OCHSNER On Call Nurse after I contacted my Primary Care Provider after I had received 1st dose of the Moderna vaccine and began experiencing some of the most common symptoms of COVID-19. Dr. Nicosia and her Nurse were friendly, caring and supportive. She scheduled a COVID test, blood work and sent a prescription to SAM'S CLUB Pharmacy. Considering the way I was feeling, after leaving her office my wife and I felt that we would get to the cause of my symptoms.
