Dr. Lauris Petersen, MD

All went well.

He is an amazing an open-minded Doctor. My primary left this office and I was helped by Dr. Petersen instead. He was very receptive to my concerns and referred me to a specialist. Couldn't have asked for better!

Working in the medical field for 30 yr.- I found Dr Petersen to be a wonderful MD. He listens to you and takes the extra time to try and find out your problem and carefully prescribes the proper meds for you that would be safe. He is very thorough with everything he does for you besides being very caring.

I had one experience with him. I have worked in an engineering position for over 30 years and been successful at that and am super proud to raise a wonderful family. My general doctors practiced folded at the same time I had a white water rafting incident that tore my stomach muscles. I had an operation scheduled but it was 2 months out. Ask the doc for just something to help the pain. He denied me...the look he gave me was not ok. So, I didn’t miss a day of work but suffered until surgery!

Highly recommend and felt he listened to what I had to say.

Dr Petersen is wonderful! He is always cheerful and pleasant. The Dr always listens and genuinely seems to care. He takes extra precautions when prescribing meds, makes sure it is safe with all other meds. He is one of the best doctors I have ever had.

I came to him with severe back pain. I could barely walk. His staff made no effort to get me an MRI, and even after I was diagnosed with a L5-S1 disc herniation, he wouldn’t prescribe me pain meds!!! I felt like a nuisance to his staff, and I’ve never had to be my own advocate so fiercely in my life! He’s a nice man, but when I’m going to urgent care multiple times because I know I’ll get better treatment there....Something is wrong. If you have real problems, go elsewhere.

I would not recommend him to anyone a dr that tries to put a 47 year old lady in a nursing home is not a good dr at all

Dr. Petersen is by far one of the best doctors I've seen in a long time. Primary care is a dying field as many new doctors just don't want to deal with it. Dr. Petersen is very friendly, thorough and attentive. Office staff and nurses are also amazing to work with. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend him to anyone, him and his staff have treated my mother very poorly, he started prescribing her medication that can't just be stopped and he turns around and told her he dose not feel comfortable prescribing them anymore. My mother has been through so much and him and his staff made is so much worse on her. I am disgusted that a DR can be like this to patients.

He seems to care sincerely but, he also beats around the cure to your problem. He will try many different paths leaving you in pain until you finally go outside the office to take matters into your hands. I have been giving stuff that he directly said to me won't help so in the end of my day it was a wasted visit and a waste to pick up the prescriptions which did more harm than good.

I just changed to Dr. Petersen on the recommendation of my VNA nurse. I loved the office and he did the most through exam I've had in a long time. The office staff is great and easy to work with.

Dr. Petersen is patient, attentive and thorough. I would recommend him to anyone, and as each of my children have outgrown pediatric care they have because me patients of Dr. Petersen as well, and they like him as much as I do.

Dr. Petersen is a doctor in assisted living. He rarely returns family member calls. And recently he did not treat an infection my mother had and she ended up sepsis in the ER, had a hospital stay and is in sub acute care to get her strength back. Older people with fragile health need to be treated cautiously.
