Dr. Lavinia Mitulescu, MD

Dr. Mitulescu is one of the most caring, knowledgeable doctors that I have ever met. She cares about her patients like she would a family member. When she finds a problem that concerns her she will discuss them with you then order more test to confirm her suspicions. She has a way of explaining things that a lay person can understand. She is compassionate, and has a great bedside manner. I wish all doctors were like her. Her personality, her compassion and her knowledge will take her far in her field of expertise.

Dr. Mitulescu is very good at her job. I’m so thankful she is my doctor. She will treat you like family and follows through with your healthcare. She explained my issues and did all the test I needed before sending too the hospital that was best for me. She’s very professional, compassionate and caring. She saved my life.

I have been going to CAMC Cardiology for many years and through attrition have had more than 4 doctor's for my care. They have either retired or left to pursue other interests. My most recent Doctor has been Dr Mitulescu. She is, by far, the most caring doctor of all. She found an area of concern and ran further tests. I was advised she would call me at home as soon as she had results. I expected a call from her nurse, but much to my surprise, she called and fully explained my issues and what our further steps would be. She has called me 3 times at home for different reasons. THIS is what I believe is part of proper care of a patient. SHE CARES LIKE YOU ARE PART OF HER FAMILY! She is very kind, caring, knowledgeable and compassionate in her care. If she were ever to leave I would consider leaving CAMC's practice. If you are looking for a GREAT cardiologist you can rest assured she is one of the very best in the field.

Dr. Mitulescu actually listens, evaluates, is decisive, and most importantly, actually cares about her patients. I never feel rushed or that any question is too small. Dr. Mitulescu is refreshingly communicative.

Dr. Mitulescu is fantastic; this area is extremely fortunate to have her. As a midlife female it was very important to me to find a female cardiologist who understands that women’s heart health issues are different then men’s. She is vastly knowledgeable about this and I very much appreciate and value both her knowledge and expertise as well as her kindness empathy and compassion with my concerns. I have recommended her to my female friends and I would urge every woman to seek her out. On a personal note, she LISTENS which, as a woman, is really wonderful to encounter in a medical setting and cannot be underestimated as being important. Also, she has a beautiful stylish graceful manner that again, as a woman I also very much appreciate. I cannot recommend “Dr. Lavinia” enough. She is superb and her knowledge is vast. Your heart is in the best possible hands with her.

I was very pleased with Dr. Mitulescu's explanation of my health concerns. When I was admitted to the hospital, she was there checking on me immediately. I am grateful for her care!

Dr. Metilesque is compassionate extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients. She insures that you understand your condition and what treat plan is best for you. I would not go to anyone else. She listens, different concept than many of your physicians.
