Dr. Lawrence Durban, MD

I would recommend Dr Durban to anyone. Even if they live out of state. Dr Durban literally saved my life him and his wonderful team along with the kindness of his office. Always there whenever I call and need to speak to someone. Yes sometimes you need to wait due to emergencies that arise but isn’t that what you would want ? Dr Durban dropping everything to help you. That’s what he is all about. Dr Durban is vey patient and understanding. And if he can’t do the best job he won’t do it at all. I am here because of Dr Durban. I love him hope to never see him again though. I can’t say enough about Dr Durban and my team that I have.

Dr Durbin s a gifted surgeon who is extremely thorough. He doesn’t rush his patients, thus the wait. He removed pacemaker leads for me and situated my second pacemaker n defibrillator n leads. I have full confidence in him for any case.

Dr. Durbin preformed a complex surgery on my father with fixing a defibrillator lead that repositioned itself and saw a lead that was loose while he was in there and fixed that too. This is a difficult and high risk procedure and he took on my father’s case and was confident that he could correct the problem. His surgical skills are impeccable. While 97% of the Doctors talked to families over the phone, he personally came out and explained how the surgery went and what he did! Highly recommend!

Dr. Durban is hands-down the most competent thoracic surgeon on Long Island. This is a real review from a real family. He performed a most complex surgery on my father with such skill and precision. In addition, his temperament and case assessment skills are right on the mark. A true surgical gem. Wish 10 stars was an option:)

Dr. Durbin is rude, extremely rough with his patients and has little to no empathy. In addition to his poor bedside manner, it is customary to wait hours for the pleasure of his hideous company. He was treating an elderly family member who consistantly left his office in tears. Finally, with the knowledge that this is unprofesional, his mustache is stupid.

My 85 year old father in law had a 1pm appointment with Dr Durban. We waited two hours and when we asked how long the wait would be we were told the doctor was not in the office. He was at the hospital. The office staff knew this and said nothing. I think that they feel like the patients can sit and wait with no explanation. We decided to leave and find a practice that values the patients as more than an insurance claim. We never saw Dr. Durban,and never will.
