Great doctor — down to earth Doc
I find Dr. Friedman really down to earth — doesn’t talk doctor language and if he does he explains everything very clearly and always asks do you have any questions. I find I can admit anything and I wouldn’t feel chastised or embarrassed. This is a very important thing for me as a woman. Highly recommend!!!

Would not recommend seeing Dr Friedman or staff in this location. He left me in pain and his answer about my condition was “patients can walk with blood in the urine” I was having flank pain in that moment but he didn’t listening to me … I went 3 times to the E.R after seeing him… The CT scan showed kidney stones… I worked for Saint Clare’s in that moment, my coworkers and I were in shock for the lack of empathy. I was with this issue for 2 months… I went back to his location few months ago because the appointment was with another health professional but, I just lost my time there again. This nurse practitioner was worse… I had the same symptoms, history of kidney stones, CT scan showing kidney stones, 24 hours urine test showing the composition of the stone… she didn’t check anything of those results, I was in pain but she didn’t care and I had the same answer “Patients walk with blood in the urine” same words not solution. Expensive appointment. Many clinical studies about non obstructive kidney stones and the correlation with flank pain but “Patients walk with blood in the urine” it’s a better answer for them…very disappointed with what happened to me because I have respect for Saint Clare’s.

Run like you are on fire
This doctor does procedures that are NOT necessary just to make money. It was clear on a CAT scan that I had over a 3 cm tumor in my bladder. Instead of saying it needs to be removed, he did an invasive cystoscope right there in his office. Took two minutes because he knew it was there by looking at the CAT scan. BUT he did make lots of money on that procedure. Put me in a panic when he told me that one of the cures could make me lose my hair. I walked out of his office in tears. Thank God for second opinions. I am cancer free. Noninvasive tumor. Something that could also be seen by doing the cystoscopy!!!! It's all about the money.

I saw Dr. Friedman April 8, as recommended by my primary care doctor, due to an enlarged prostate. I could not be happier with the visit. Dr. Friedman explained everything in a clear manner, was reassuring, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him.

Would not recommend seeing Dr Friedman. I was a patient of his for years and switched due to insurance changes which did not include his practice. Once I started seeing my new Dr I understood the problems Dr Friedman was creating for me. The level of care I now receive and knowledge my new Dr has far exceed Dr Friedman in all ways.

I trusted Dr Larry Friedman with medical problems. And Surgery. He is the worst Doctor I have ever used. Do Not go to this Man. He is a Liar. A bad doctor and a disgusting human being. Not only did he hurt me in surgery, he hurt my co worker who is also a doctor. This man does not belong in Medicine. Do NOT trust him............

If it weren't for his rude and lack of compassion staff, I would recommend Dr. Friedman in a heart beat. After being part of the practice for almost 25 years, I am taking my business elsewhere. Since the move to Rockaway, the staff just does not care and believes they know more than the doctors themselves. Unfortunate move but everything happens for a reason.
