Negative experience with Dr. Miller
I took my daughter into urgent care over the weekend and waited for over an hour after registration only to be dismissed by Dr. Miller and told to see our pediatrician - obviously if this had been an option I would have taken her to her doctor. She complained of a sore throat and I saw red spots and white blisters on her throat at home. Dr. Miller barely looked at her throat and said he didn’t see anything but didn’t use a tongue depressor, so I asked him to look again and use one. He did so begrudgingly and saw the spots. He was rude and impatient with my 4 year old and annoyed with me for asking questions. I will not be visiting Total Access Urgent Care in Overland, MO to avoid seeing this doctor again.

Rude and dismissive
Dr. Miller did a very short exam and basically said there was nothing he could do to help me with my stomach pain and nausea. Just sent me away quickly and gave me a list of specialists. I vomited for most of my drive home, knowing I was not treated right there! And wasted the wasted money! Horrible location.

I came in with symptoms that had me concerned for serotonin syndrome, which I asked about multiple times. Due to my diagnosed and well managed Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia that I have been dealing with for years, Dr. Lawrence Miller immediately said that I needed to go to the hospital post negative Covid and flu swab. He refused any further treatment or evaluation for my concerns and stated there was nothing that could be done for me since my HR was 140. No other concerns were addressed during this visit, and Dr. Miller was condescending and rude to myself and my husband, while we were asking questions and trying to get any additional assistance. I usually have incredible experiences at TAUC. I am a long standing patient, and I have never had such a poor experience. I would like to note that in the past three years of struggling with IST, I have come to TAUC upwards of ten times. During these other appointments, despite my elevated heart rate, I have received exceptional patient care every time. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and in the future I will decline any ‘treatment’ by Dr. Miller

Ask for a PA or NP
I agree with the other reviewers. The doctor was very dismissive and bordered on being rude. I went in for what I knew was bronchitis. I was wheezing, coughing and running a fever. Dr. Miller said he didn't hear wheezing, gave me pills and told me to come back if I wasn't better in a week. I'm an RN so I know wheezing when I hear it. I got worse and went back 3 days later. The PA was great, he listened to me, agreed that I was wheezing, prescribed a course of treatment and I felt better in a few days. The doctor could learn something from the staff.

Can’t get to my PCP for a month so I came here seeking help and Dr. Lawrence Miller, M.D. literally treated me like I was stupid. He asked very few questions and just repeatedly told me the same thing over and over again. Said he was very limited in his ability to help me and that he could only offer me a scan that more than likely wouldn’t pick up on my issue and some IV electrolytes. Why would I accept a scan if you’re flat out telling me you don’t think it would help and if I’m not dehydrated why would you offer me electrolytes?!? Literally the least helpful medical experience of my life. Paid a co-pay and walked away with absolutely no help whatsoever. His bedside manner is horrible to say it mildly. Very rude and condescending. I do not recommend this place at all.

Dr. Miller is rude and dismissive. He implied that my child pretended to be ill and disregarded the school's reason for insisting that my child see a doctor. Dr. Miller claimed he heard no wheezing, and there was nothing wrong, even though the technician taking his vitals confirmed the wheezing before he entered the room. My very outgoing child asked me to leave, even he could feel the negative energy in the room. At that point, I knew that something was amiss. I asked no questions, paid my bill, and left. I sought a second opinion that evening from another health care professional who confirmed the wheezing in both lungs, gave my child albuterol, and suggested I seek additional medical attention in the morning. Because of the medication taken that night, the wheezing subsided. Still, the Doctor said my child's lung was restricted and prescribed a steroid with ibuprofen in addition to a rescue inhaler. I have never experienced such poor service from a medical person.
