Not much care
Arrived at Morton Plant ER via ambulance around midnight. The ER was not busy. Dr. Seymour met me and my wife. She explained that I was diagnosed with the flu several days earlier and had gotten worse. I had weakness on my left side, could not swallow, unable to speak and that I have AFib. He took vitals, a strep test, prescribed a liquid cough medicine with codine and, told us that the illness had to “run its course” and sent us home. A day later I got worse. Had a yellow color and swollen feet. The coughing was worse. I went to another hospital where the ER ran CT tests and admitted me to the ICU unit where I stayed for 4 days and an additional 5 days afterwards. The treatment I received at the 2nd hospital from the entire staff was beyond excellent. They actually showed that they cared unlike Morton Plant and “Dr.” Seymour.

Absolutely Awful
Had an ER visit and this was unfortunately my doctor that night. Not only was he in my room a total of 1 minute, but he provided absolutely 0 value and was extremely condescending. Did NOT care nor try to find out what was wrong, just completely ruled out what I thought was wrong. Did not even go over my tests at all. He was completely uncaring and seemed honestly bored to be there, you would’ve never thought this was an actual doctor and that he went to medical school. It’s unfortunately you’re stuck with people like this if there’s a true life-threatening emergency. Asked me questions like what year it was and what my name was as if I just had a stroke, completely dismissing and not even asking about my actual symptoms. A sad joke of an experience.
