Dr. Lazarus Gehring, MD

It has been nearly 2 years since I wrote a review, & Dr. Gehring is still the finest physician I know. He is also the kindest in my experience. He is a thoughtful man who goes out of his way to help his patients, I hope he takes care of himself as well as he takes care of us, and just in case, I ask the Lord to watch over him as well.

Dr. Gehring is exceptional in what he does. He listens, gives his opinion respectfully but allows the patient to make decisions based on their own beliefs and health.

The care and compassion Doc has for his patients is outstanding. He literally would go out of his way to help with whatever ails us. He treats us, as patients, with regard, doesn’t talk down to us, and we feel comfortable talking to him about anything we need to.

I feel confident visiting Dr. Gehring, knowing that he will listen and offer honest advice. I love that he has a progressive mindset and suggests treatment options that fit with your personal ideals. No pressure. No judgement. He takes the time to be thorough and forward thinking.

Instilled absolute confidence during my first visit. Took the time to get to know me and my history. Quickly and accurately put my litany of past and current medical problems in perspective and laid out a sensible approach going forward. As a retired physician, I found him extremely knowledgeable and pragmatic. Dr. Gearing is a true treasure in upstate NY!

I've been a paient for over 20 years. Doc. Gehring has always been knowlegible, proactive, sensitive, supportive and personable. I especially like his preference for the treatments that are the most natural, and with the least side-effects. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Gehring has been my primary care physician for a long time. He is intelligent, empathetic and has a great sense of humor and an innate ability to put you at ease. Dr.Gehring is the best when it comes to bedside manners. He is calming, soothing and a very knowledgeable physician. He is a blessing and i am very happy that my parents and sisters started with him and i was able to have a spot too.

Dr. Gehring has been my primary care physician since he started his practice. He also was my husband’s and my mother’s physician before their passing. I have never had such a highly skilled, intelligent, and caring provider. I was hospitalized about 2 years ago, and spent a few days as “the interesting patient”(no one wants that label). While he was not on hospital duty, he nonetheless consulted with a neurosurgeon to get more information about my situation. He’s the best! I always feel listened to, and I so appreciate that he takes the time to know me and to make sure my questions are answered.

I have had the most wonderful experience with Dr.Gehring over the last few years. He is very knowledgeable in his field and actually cares about the patients. I would recommend anyone in need of a general family physician come see Dr.Gehring! You won’t regret it. Thanks for all you have done !

Dr. Gehring has been my doctor since I was in high school. I am now 32. His considerate, thorough, and patient specific care has kept me here. I told the nurse yesterday "I'm falling apart" half joking and half not. I left the office feeling like there was hope again because someone understood what was happening to me and more importantly how it was impacting me as a person. On the rare occasions I am in the waiting room a while, I am perfectly content to wait because I know someone else is receiving the same attention to detail. I know I am cared about as a human being first, patient second. That means more to me than I can express. I appreciate his wide knowledge base and holistic care. I feel confident that treatment suggested is taking all of my conditions into account and not just the one I'm bringing to the office that day. Whenever my anxiety makes me consider putting off an appointment my boyfriend reminds me "Gehring is on your team." He's 100% right, and I'm so grateful.

DR. GEHRING IS A GREAT LISTENER AND TAKES SERIOUS NOTES OF YOUR HEALTH COMPLAINTS. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER IS EXCELLENT, AND HE'S THE BEST DOCTOR I'VE EXPERIENCED IN MY 82 YEARS AND LIVING IN MANY STATES AND BEING IN THE MILITARY FOR 20 YEARS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE - AND MY WIFE AGREES AS HE IS HER DOCTOR, TOO.
