Very nice
I’m trying to find out what’s wrong with me. I was referred to Dr. Mayaglou and he took his time and explain things and order tests. He then referred me to Dr. Smith and I have since seen him and was very pleased with him. also, I still don’t have the answer, but we are working on it.

Personable, Professional, & Persipicacious
Dr. Mayoglou treats both my brother and me for a very rare genetic, neurodegenerative fatal illness; CADASIL - Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts & Leukoencephalopathy. My brother & I were anxious after we were both treated so horribly by small-minded, uneducated, cruel medical people at St.Vincent's/AHN. Dr. Mayoglou is empathetic & efficient, as there is much additional paperwork & research that is required, at times. Also, Dr. Mayoglou is very similar to Dr. James DeMatteis, who treated me for several years at Hamot/UPMC. My brother & I feel very thankful to have such a brilliant & caring Neurologist/Epilepsy Specialist, who demonstrates & practices care for the 'whole patient.'

Dr. Mayoglou replaced my long-term Neurologist, Dr. DeMatteis (big shoes to fill). He's very professional, intelligent, compassionate & now The Head of Epilepsy & Neurology at Northshore Neurology. I've a very rare neurodegenerative genetic illness, without a cure. Few qualified Neurologists are willing to treat all my complications. Thank you Dr. M.:-)

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Mayoglou?
Dr. Mayoglou has a very kind bedside manner & does take time for patients during visits. I am very dissatisfied with his competence with filling out documents in regards to my medical diagnosis as related to driving and insurance. He did not thoroughly read through my history and cause of a seizure before filling out these documents. I am having a difficult time receiving auto coverage because he inaccurately described my medical history.
