Dr. Leah Carroll, DO

When I came in for my initial visit with Dr. Carroll, she had asked if I had any other health issues I wanted to discuss. I mentioned that I had issues with snoring, and she said in response, 'Well, let's get you signed up for a sleep test then.' I agreed, and we completed our session.Once I had completed the at-home sleep test, I was billed $369 by Kaiser. I tried multiple times to contest the bill with Kaiser and insurance, explaining that Dr. Carroll never discussed a cost or charge with me for this sleep test (even though we did discuss the costs and coverage for some of my lab work that day). Twice, my written appeal was denied, and so I'm ending up having to pay out of pocket for something that I never would have agreed to in the first place had I known the costs associated.Dr. Carroll seems like a lovely physician, and I recognize that a lot of this issue has to do with billing and insurance. But costs and coverage MUST be discussed with patients up front.

Dr. Carroll is one of the most intuitive, compassions doctors That has ever cared for my health. I’m two words “She Cares.” There are few doctors that have ever made me smile at every visit. She motivates me, encourages me and treats me like her only patient. There is nothing more personal than your health and she has approached mine with incredible poise and compassion.
