Dr. Leah Kobes, MD

She listens so well. Comes up with a plan if needed. Don’t feel rushed. Staff is nice.Use to go to 2 different doctors in Deer Park before finding her. Dr. Kobes lets me ask my questions and gives an honest reply.

She respects patients choices, patient privacy and really listens.

1st, the good aspect of the visit. When leaving the appt., my wife who had brought our daughter to see the Dr. had a discussion with the receptionist (Melissa?) about payment. Our health coverage was a high ded. that would not pay for the visit so we paid with a credit card. Melissa advised that we apply for Apple Health (Medicaid) as she thought our daughter definitely qualified. My wife stated that I had already tried but Apple said she didn't qualify. I tried again and found after getting some special advice about how to answer a particular question on the application, she DID qualify! Pioneer initially told us that our daughter had to be on a certain plan to have our bill refunded. Apple assigned her to a different plan that Pioneer didn't take but Pioneer gave us a refund anyway 3 months later! Impressive! Negative aspect - Dr. didn't listen to my daughter and suggested anti-depressants which will not help her situation. Seeing functional Dr. instead .

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kobes for a year. I was having an issue today and needed a prescription for a common issue, but there was no appointment availability to be seen. The front desk staff coordinated with Dr. Kobes and sent a prescription in for me. Now I have so much relief and am so grateful! I have had nothing but good experiences with this office.

Wonderful staff and finally! A doctor who listens, explains and is proactive in treating the patient as a whole. NOT symptom by symptom. Can’t say enough good about this provider and her staff!!

I switched primary care doctors to Dr. Kobes. She will actually treat you if you get Covid. She is caring and thorough. I have recommended her to friends.
