Dismissed Severe Infection
This doctor said that she recommends patients ‘just get a cup of coffee and get on with their life’ when they experience exhaustion after post-surgical severe infection ie: Sepsis. Nope.

She was the surgeon for my breast cancer, and she got it all! Four years cancer free, and still praying that continues. Two years later she operated on me again when my gall bladder exploded, causing severe infection, loose gall stones throughout, one blocking my bile duct. The night before the surgery I was subjected to an endoscope exam where the doctor punched a hole in my pancreas and placed a stent in the wrong location. Dr. Goldstein worked through all that mess to save my life. I have appointments with her every six months to make sure my cancer hasn't returned. I feel she's saved my life twice, and is outstanding in her care.

I wrote a review previously and have gotten my pathology reports since that time. I found out Dr Goldstein flat out lied to me about missing any of the tumor in my first surgery and since received my pathology reports so I have to come back and update more. The first surgery she did on May 31 she called me several days later and told me they missed part of the tumor which was a flat out lie. She rushed me into another surgery and took muscle in the report and I am disabled due to muscle loss.

Dr. Goldstein conducted my umbilical hernia surgical repair. I was very apprehensive about going under and having an operation and I conveyed these concerns to Dr. Goldstein on my first visit. She took the time to assure me that everything would be fine and that she would be able to easily repair my hernia and with any luck there would be no scar. I had my surgery at VB General and the entire staff there was awesome and caring. I had very little post surgery pain and no scars whatsoever - Thanks

Not recommended. Pre op consultation minimal. Felt like obtaining procedural info was a challenge. No post op follow-up prior to departing hospital with patient. No info offered on how surgery went at any time. I got the overall impression of a Whack em stack em, how dare you question the Dr mentality. I don't mind direct attitudes and prefer them in a surgeon, combative however is how I would describe every encounter with Dr Goldstein. I will choose someone else if I ever need surgery again.
