Sensitive
We went there with my elderly mother after a really scary incident where she wasn't talking. Dr Grodin was very communicative and delicate with her, ultimately helping us feel reassured. In a busy emergency room it really mattered.

Upsetting medical care in E.R
I went to the emergency room at NYP Lawrence hospital recently. The admitting staff and nurses were terrific. I was taken aback with my experience with Dr. Grodin. She was abrupt and close to being rude. She also seemed extremely stressed. I have never been exposed to this kind of behavior in any E.R. If I hadn't been so sick I would have walked out. Just a heads up, hopefully no one else has this kind of encounter ! Needless to say it was very upsetting !

Useless
I’ve had the misfortune of having to visit Lawrence Hospital ER over the past year (once for close family and once for my daughter). Both times, our “Doctor” was Grodin. Not only does she have the personality of a wet mop, but she seemed to work directly off of a protocol and not treat the patients for what she saw in front of her. Honestly, if all we are doing is following instructions written by other doctors, then we could have treated ourselves at home. Her bedside manner was dismissive and condescending, which you would hope is indicative of a very seasoned and competent doctor who is just rough around the edges. Nope, it isn’t an episode of House and there is no competency here. After nearly an entire shift of waiting for some sort of resolution, we were left with one misdiagnosis and the other time, she left without saying a word and passed the buck to the next shift. The best word to describe the interaction is “useless”. If we could leave 0 stars, we would. Good luck everybody

Dr Grodin was wonderful.
My 92-year-old mom came in with chest pain, and Dr. Grodin was great with her and our family. She kept checking in and really was so busy yet patient with us.

Excellent & caring doctor
Went to ER with excruciating chest pain. Dr Grodin immediately leapt into action, ordering ekg, chest x-rays & blood test to rule out heart issues. She communicated clearly, compassionately, & in a timely manner, despite the ER being extremely busy at that time. Dr. Grodin was great!

horrible experience
She’s the worst doctor I ever met. She treated me for less than a dog. On May 8 2021, I went to the ER of the NY-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital for excruciating back pain after a sneezing. This doctor saw me and ignored me in a cold room for HOURS (I was crying in pain in fetus position). She did practically NOTHING, no exam, no MRI, no proper referral. I spent months in getting appointments for specialists, MRIs, etc. I could not walk for months, and endured deliberating pain every day and night. More than 7 months later, I finally got a surgery to remove the disc fractured by my sneezing which was stuck in a nerve. I was told the damaged nerve needs 2-3 years to recover, because I was not treated in emergency. I am finally slowly regaining full mobility. I just got a baby 3 weeks before that ER visit, so life has been busy. Not even gotten time to complain. In my opinion she is not slightest competent, nor slightest compassionate about patients.
