My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Shaftel after coming in with excruciating pain in my hands. From the first second, he was very dismissive, and treated me like a waste of time. They took a couple of X-Rays. Instead of any actual care, I was given the diagnosis of "You have arthritis. That's that. Get out."This was by far the most ridiculously awful experience I've ever had with any doctor. I wouldn't trust this guy to work on my dog.

Based on some of the previous reviews, I did not expect to have such a pleasant experience. I found Dr. Shaftel to be delightful and a good listener. Furthermore, and more importantly, I believe my complaints of wrist pain were addressed and treated appropriately. I would recommend Dr. Shaftel without hesitation!

Dismissive and condescending. Couldn’t answer my questions or he pretended like it wasn’t important, on top of that his office failed to transfer my record label when I finally decided to see another doctor.

I have never been treated so poorly as I was by this doctor. He did not take the time to listen to my issues, nor did even seem to care. He basically dismissed all of my concerns and treated me as if I were a drug seeker. If he had taken the time to listen to me and properly diagnose me, he would have realized that I have a torn meniscus and prevented me from walking around in pain until I could received a proper treatment. The rest of the staff in the office were wonderful.
