Dr. Leo Chen, MD

I saw Dr Chen for rotator cuff surgery and I'm now struggling to get my pain meds I call once a week to get my refill and the receptionist never does what she's supposed to do I always have to wait a day or so for her to do what I've asked her to do I'm in horrific pain and this should not be an issue they are never on time I've always had to wait and wait I would not refer them to anyone because the pain I'm in is terrible and they do not want to refill medication on time not once. You would think at this point if it is an ongoing issue every week for me call for a refill for my medicine that they would already have something in place to take care of that so that I'm not calling for days trying to get medication that should already be sent to the pharmacy. Dr Chen as a surgeon should understand more than anyone that pain should not be tossed to the side and it take days for someone to get their meds called in by the reception is who simply has to pass on a message to the doctor

Dr. Chen took care of my husband like he was family. He went out of his way to provide the best care we have ever received. He successfully performed a complex surgical procedure, moving his schedule to accommodate the urgency at hand. I would recommend Dr. Chen to anyone.

I have been to Dr. Chen a few times and will agree that he's very personable. There has been a couple of times that I feel that he is so overbooked that he really doesn't have 10 minutes to spare for you. The last visit I had with him was so painful that I don't see myself going back.

Dr.Chen has done 5 different surgeries for me over the past 11 years. My latest was total knee replacement. Recovery has been much faster than the normal recovery time. The physical therapist said I must have had a good doctor since I was walking so well so quickly after the surgery.

My 86-year-old mother has been going to Dr. Chen for 10 years now. He has done both emergency and scheduled procedures on her; from broken knees, arms and hips, to scheduled surgeries such as knee replacements. As her daughter, I have been impressed by Dr. Chen's knowledge, excellent bedside manner, and most of all, his compassion. He explains her conditions and the corrective actions he has taken THOROUGHLY. I now drive almost 100 miles to see Dr. Chen for my own orthopedic needs.

Dr Chen and his team are absolutely amazing! They are first class! I had a bad fall and broke my collar bone and needed surgery.First of all, I couldn’t find anyone to see me for at least a week, keep in mind, my bone was shattered and I was in so much pain! He made time for me... after he had a long day in surgery,he still saw me even tho they were closed (4pm). In other words, he cared about me and went the extra mile. His bedside manner is amazing as well as his staff!!! A true professional!

I moved here from Dallas three months ago with chronic knee pain. I have seen four orthopedic surgeons and have had arthoscopic knee surgery during the last 10 years. I researched surgeons on this website last week and chose Dr. Chen, even though his office was 50 minutes away. I called and was welcomed as a new patient; an appointment was scheduled within four days. My visit was exceptional. I received immediate and effective treatment for my pain. I will definitely continue seeing him!

Love, Love Dr. Chen and his wonderful staff. The staff has been so easy to work with, especially with scheduling appointments and making me feel at ease. When meeting Dr Leo, who offer an alternative to surgery, he won my loyalty and respect. I had three fractures last year and was lucky enough not to have had surgery. I would recommend this office to anyone. .

Dr Chen is an excellent surgeon, or was until he got the current office staff. Once you get past them and to the doctor, he is wonderful, but his office staff will harass and embarrass you about money until the point that you have to change doctors. If you don't have all of your co-pay cancel your appointment, you will not be seen anyway. The new front office staff is rude and uncaring. Even though I was having a lot of post op problems, I was denied my appointment.

My experience with Dr. Chen practice was not any that I have every experienced. The whole staff is professional, caring, and know what they are doing. I was very satisfied with Dr. Chen knowledge, mannerisms and concerns on getting me well. I will always remember how welcome the staff made me feel. It was like I was part of a family.
