In high regards
I left New York permanently soon after having lower back surgery and was most anxious to find an orthopedic surgeon who would follow my progress. Dr. Spector was the absolute right choice.

Well worth the time to recover
I had lower spinal fusion one year ago. I had to have discs removed and vertebrae fused with screws. I also have scoliosis. It has taken a long time, but I'm better than before. I'm 72 and feel great. I can stand for long periods without discomfort (something I couldn't do for years). The nerves & pain in my legs are so much better. I feel I'm taller as a result of the surgery. PT and Neuromuscular Massage helped greatly. Dr. Spector is very caring and available. His staff are all great. I highly recommend him for back surgery.

Dr. Specter gave me my life back.
I was in pain for over a year, trying PT, spinal injections, medication, etc. for my spinal stenosis. I could perform hardly any tasks without severe lumbar pain radiating down my buttocks and thighs. Dr Specter performed a bilateral laminectomy and foraminectomy in January, 2022. Within a week, I had no pain! 6 weeks later, I am able to do housework, yard work, walk 3-4 miles per day with no pain! I feel like a new person. I highly recommend this surgeon if you need spinal surgery!

Preliminary for back surgery. He has diagnosed the problem correctly from the start and has managed steroid shot therapy to see if that could help. There was no rush to surgery but it appears that surgery is the long term fix and he has been thorough in the explanations of what is needed.

Dr. Spector has been my doctor for almost ten years. I am a nurse and was injured at work, had multiple tests and procedures done and no one seemed to know what was wrong, he examined me one time ordered a myelogram and was able to find the problem and I had a successful surgery. Was recently involved in a car accident he ordered Phyical therapy and I am back feeling like myself again. Dr Spector has excellent beside manners, he listens, he allows you to be a part of the decision process. Excellent Doctor and believe me, I know a good one when I see one. I would highly recommend him.
