Dr Antaris ruthlessly hurt my 97 year old mother
Antaris has ABSOLUTELY NO BEDSIDE MANNER! In fact he’s actually very odd. First, unlike all other Retinal Specialists that have treated her wet MD with injections they do the eye exam & injection the same visit. He requires 2 visits; one for exam then a return visit for injection. My mother is 97 & has difficulty walking & lives 50 miles from his office. He could not have cared less when I told him that. Second, unlike all other Retinal Specialists (3) that have administered her injections I’d always been allowed to stay with her, he refused to let me stay. Also it was previously ALWAYS a completely painless procedure, as is the norm. So the absolute worse part was he was rushing & DID NOT wait for the lidocaine drops to effectively numb her eyeball and she suffered significantly AND UNNECESSARILY when he callously injected her eye! She came out very distraught & in pain telling me she would rather go blind than ever go back to him. I would never take her back!

My Mom is 82 years old, and has lived alone since my dad passed away in 2009. Mom was loosing her sight rapidly, having much difficulty reading + driving. She was referred to a retina specialist, specifically Dr. Antaris. Dr. Antaris correctly diagnosed her macular degeneration in both eyes. Dr. Antaris has been a Godsend for my Mom!!! She was TERRIFIED of going blind! After several treatments, Dr. Antaris was able to stop the bleeding inside both eyes! Many thanks?? Dr. A !!!
