Dr Coopersmith is kind and down to earth. She has an excellent talent for explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. She will return calls and always fit you in to the schedule when called for. She is honest and trustworthy. She will persist in working to make sure her patients receive the best care. I have recommended her to family members and friends who continue to see her.

A long-time patient – Jan 06, 2020

I found her arrogant, rude and dismissive. She could not get me out of her office fast enough and called a doctor she referred me to to tell him just how "annoying" a patient I was. This opthamoloigist repeated her comments to me and then treated me unprofessionally also. All this time I was in a lot of pain and also suffering from a very severe depression which she had neither compassion nor time for. I was shocked by how I was treated and got a bill on which she falsified the time she spent.

I went from doctor to doctor for 3 years, with no diagnosis. Specialists even tried to put me on anti-depressants saying "its 'll in my head." Dr. Coopersmith said, "If you think there's something wrong, we're going to find it." She ran blood work, saw elevated calcium level and sent me for tests. Only she diagnosed hyperparathyroidism which resulted in a necessary surgery. The surgeon told me I'd had the condition for about 3 years based on the size of the adenoma. She listens and she's great.
