Dr. Leslie Lafer, DO

Tho She was very caring & helpful. You'll notice at first, very blunt. Tho very sweet. I would highly recommend her.

I was a patient of Dr. Lafers for the last four years. Her bedside manner was always good and the care I needed was always given in a pleasent manner. It was in fact her bedside manner that kept me going back after being charged $225 to have a skin tag removed; I did not request it be removed, she just cut it off and billed me. The final straw for me came today: After having to call to see if I was due for my annual (as opposed to being reminded, SOP in the medical world), I came for my scheduled appointment only to be asked for my insurance card. I kindly let the nurse know I didn't have it on me but nothing has changed since my last minute. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "we'll see". She came back a few minutes later to tell me they are going to "try" and verify my insurance but in all likelihood I'll be charged for the visit. I asked, aren't you just going to send it to my insurance that you have on file? She said, "Uhh, yeah but we don't know that you have it so you'll most li

Arrogant, assuming, horrible excuse for a doctor. Very uneducated, lacks knowledge of basic ob/gyn related conditions. Does not listen to even a very polite, concise, and direct patient. Please don’t gamble with your money on this physician, you will loose.

Dr. Lafer is very confident in her opinions which I respect.; sometimes it can appear to border on arrogance. I often have to tell her that I know my body better than anyone else. She has pushed me for a hysterectomy for years due to heavy bleeding. I have to encourage her to try other means (instead of removing organs) in assisting me to deal with my issues (I have told her many times unless it's cancerous she will not be cutting it out of me...period). Overall, she can be a know it all.

I've been her patient for a while. She advised me to have a hysterectomy and I would be fine. Upon her advise I had it. She has caused me non stop misery. Pelvic pain, hormonal imbalance, etc. I'm no longer a patient of hers and recommend others to find another doctor
