My initial appointment with her was on a scale from 5 to 10, midway- Scheduled the procedure- I had trouble fasting - and with a professional report on that day, the most important subject is possibly ischemia - that's 2 clues of why I haven't been totally cleared, Yet- to have the procedure- I went back to her to reschedule another time, and of course, we're all blind folded on some problems- Yes, I have anxiety, Ummm.... none of us do... she could have suggested 1 or 2 pills to get through- However, she commented-""because if you don't think you're gonna make this one, I'm not doing this again- Then, she asked me if I wanted another bowel med- and very sarcasticly said, Are you sure you want this, because ITS SWEET, and repeated it... An Ormond Beach attitude, I love Flagler.. Deciding my GP check into things further, I went to exit- She takes her finger, like I'm a child, and yes, I have a witness- curls the finger, come ear... No TY- I just hired another GI.. Staff is unhappy-

She was initially attentive and honest in my first visit. I told her that I was conducting my very first colonoscopy. She described the prep. I did to the letter. I spent a lot of money, took time off work to prepare for this procedure. Then, when I went to the surgery center, I waited forever in the waiting room AND in the pre op room. With the curtain wide open with zero privacy. Finally when Dr. Perla came to see me, to ask about my bowel movements which were minimal but not completely bowel free -my prep was not enough to her standards. And had to reschedule the procedure. I will not go back there again. I will go to another more competent facility.

Dr. Perla was the best Dr. that I have ever seen. She spent a very long time with me during every visit and accommodated my very hectic scheduled so i could get the treatment i needed. Her bedside manor was phenomenal and I refer my clients to her every chance I get.

So glad i was able to find Dr.Perla, she went above and beyond with the treament for my issue. Went with stomach pain,Dr. peril ordered a CAT scan right a way. Well, scan came back negative!. Dr. Perla didn't stop at that. She was willing to look further into my complaint. Next was an colonoscopy and endoscopy. . The outcome was cancer in the stomach and colon. Thanks to Dr. perila persistence i am now on my way for early stage cancer treatment.

The doctor seemed to truly care. My true obstacle with her was the treatment of her staff. It was extremely evident that the people who here are unhappy. I have always been a firm believer that the staff speaks volumes about the doctor. I originally came to this office because I ran into someone working for the office bringing cards to my child's pediatrician. When I showed interest she immediately told me about her adult provider also. I won't be going back for my follow up. Will find differ

No bedside manner. Even the way she speaks to her staff os concerning. No pleases, no thank yous, no treating anyone like they are a human being. Very unfortunate. The staff is great. There are many GI's in the area. No reason to see the doctor over someone else that has a kind heart and knows how to smile. Dr. Perla didn't seem to listen to my concerns. She seemed to have already make up her mind and didn't want to hear the rest. My insurance paid a lot of money for a bad experience. Too bad

She was my Dr. from 2012 up until her move south and she is sorely missed in Ormond.. Always pleasant but to the point/professional,(she's a softy but she hides it well) If it wasn't for her i wouldn't be here to give a review, She was the Only reason i lived long enough to receive my transplant and for that i am eternally grateful.
