do not recommend
in my experience, dr. ugarte is not a good psychiatrist. she does not listen to her patients. she overprescribes medications, and doesn’t give you any information on them. i continue to suffer from medical problems today from dr. ugarte’s care when she was my pediatric psychiatrist. i do not recommend.

Dr. Ugarte greatly helped us and she was very supportive, prescribing medicines that greatly helped.

She does not listen to patient issues and is condescending and judgemental. She doesn’t treat the patient or the parent well and is rude and dismissive. She clearly does not like my daughter (her patient) and makes no attempt to hide it and is letting it interfere with proper treatment of the patient. We will be finding another doctor and would not recommend her to anyone.

Poor communication! Seemed to not believe our behavior reports as parents - More weight was given to her 10 min observations. She accomplished nothing. Planning to discharge a patient that cannot function in school or home is NOT appropriate.
