Smart, caring, attentive and super relatable.
Dr. Hays came to my home to start the Palliative care process at the request of my PCP. After a long discussion about my many med conditions, we decided that 'at home' hospice care was a better fit for me. He took all the time needed to thoroughly explain hospice to me. He spent more time with me than any doctor I had ever seen before. By the time we finished, I felt calm and comfortable with the big decision, and I felt like I had had a great conversation with an old friend. Wonderful man. Hospice work is definitely his love and his calling. Ultra professional, super experienced and very wise, I felt comfortable asking him anything. He called me back the next day to follow-up on me. I am free to call him any time too!

Dr . Hayes was a misinformed and angry person
Dr. Hays came to my house to evaluate my husband for palliative care. He told me that my husband has four serious illnesses that he does not have . He became angry when told him that my husband has none of those illnesses . There was no evaluation performed .

Dr. Hays visited my mother who has dementia and was so kind and understanding. I thank him so much for lettering me know that I was doing the best I could to care for my Mom. I was very impressed and happy that I had the chance to meet him. Forever grateful.
