Dr. Lexanne Mauney, MD

This was my first visit with Dr. Mauney and she was great. She was friendly and helped with all my concerns.

Dr. Mauny is very professional and has a kind, understanding demeanor.

Dr. Mauney is very good at what she does. I am thankful for her patience with me during my recovery after birth. She is also very gentle on handling my Pap smear. I appreciate that very much.

Dr. Mauney always shows concern and answers all of my questions when I come in and gives me any next steps. She's very good at listening while still moving the visit along.

I love Dr. Mauney! She always takes time to listen and answer questions. I never feel rushed with her.

I trust Dr. Mauney with my health and that of my children. I feel that she has always been sincere and truly cared for my well-being. She is quick to respond and addresses all of my concerns, no matter how big or small.

Dr Mauney always listens to my concerns and the best part is that she takes the time to explain things and to listen to me. Another great thing is that she knows me and remembers my last visit.

Dr Mauney is dismissive of mental health or hormone related issues. I explained that I wanted to look at different birth control options because that was the only medication I was on and I felt the hormones were throwing me off. She was very dismissive saying she didn’t think it was the BC but wouldn’t provide any other offers or solutions, even as I sat there crying in front of her because I felt so helpless. I just stopped taking BC and that helped, then I found out years later it is PMDD. Her tone is very condescending and it makes you feel so small. I always left crying or angry. I couldn’t return to her practice.

Did not acknowledge any of my concerns at the visit and had an attitude the whole time. After she left the room, I could hear her talking about me inappropriately to the stuff. Avoid her unless you have no other option.

At my first appointment I left extremely excited that I thought I had found someone sincere and willing to dig into the issues I was having. After my two later appointments I left both times and cried because I felt so demeaned and unheard. Someone above mentioned how she says mean things but masks them with a smile. That was so spot on. She made me feel stupid for wanting to understand why she was saying I had to do certain things. She may be a good person and may not intend for things to come off this way, but given how many reviews mention the exact same things it seems like this is a her problem that she needs to address. If you are dealing with irregular periods and complicated situations GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mauney and her staff! Dr. Mauney genuinely cares for the well being of her patients and this shows through her bedside manner and attentive care. I delivered my second baby with Dr. Mauney and found her to be kind, relatable and very informative. She always listened to my concerns and answered my questions while giving me autonomy to make my own healthcare decisions. I also appreciate that her office always runs on time. 5 stars for Dr. Mauney!

Couldn’t have had a worse experience with this doctor. If I could give zero stars I would. My regular doctor left her practice and I had to find a new physician. I found Dr. Mauney to be uncaring, condescending and completely dismissive of my feelings before and after surgery. Horrible bedside manner and does not communicate with you. I repeatedly called after surgery to address an issue and was told that it was normal and to not worry about it. During my follow up visit I stated again that there was an issue only to be told that it was not normal and they needed to look into it. I later received a call from the doctor to let me know that they performed a procedure, that was not told about before or after surgery, and that I had an issue that needed to be addressed by another doctor. She kept comparing my surgery progress to her other patients to the point where she kept giving me the percentage that I should have been healed.

Best bedside manner in Houston! Highly educated and knowledgeable in her field. I will not see another doctor after seeing Dr. Mauney! I recommend her to all my family and friends.

I saw Dr. Mauney a few weeks ago and I had a wonderful experience, she is amazing, she listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions. Great bedside manners. I highly recommend Dr. Mauney, I cant wait for her to deliver my baby's.

I went to Dr Mauney for the first time a few months back and I thought she was excellent. She was informative, explained things thoroughly, and had great bed side manner. I’d highly recommend!

Dr. Mauney is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She will listen to and address all of your concerns. She is very gentle and very patient. I highly recommend!

Dr. Mauney will not really spend time in exam room with you. She is quiet, doesn't really answer questions well, and seems annoyed/ rude every time, but she tries to hide it with a smile. She doesn't try and hear out a patient or their needs, because she will try her BEST to force her ways onto them. I wanted a vbac which she agreed I could have, but she will word things in such a way that make you feel bad for disagreeing and ultimately make you do things her way

I couldn't find a lot of reviews or information about Dr. Lexanne Mauney, but I still wanted to give her an opportunity. Worst Idea Ever. She is extremely rude. In the first appointment we went, she was very condescending when we asked questions. She had a terrible attitude and was not helpful with anything. On the second appointment, she was worse. Not only was she insincere, but she refused to be flexible about anything. She is arrogant and doesn't know how to speak to people respectfully. Avo
