Does NOT refill medications
First, she WILL NOT work on finding a medication that works for you. If you come to her already on meds, she WILL NOT change them even if they are not working for you. Apparently that’s too much work for her. She does not respond to pharmacy requests for refills. My pharmacy sent her 3 requests to refill Cymbalta and I left her office a message to refill. I had 2 weeks of medication left, so this was not last minute. I was going on a trip and wanted to leave enough time just in case. When I went to pick up my meds before I left, my Cymbalta was still not ready. I went in my trip without it. I was a mess. The trip was ruined. When I called the office to ask why three pharmacy request for refill were ignored plus my voicemail was ignored, her staff told me that “The patient is responsible for letting the office know that they need refills.” That’s what the three pharmacy request and voicemail was for. Then said I need to have an appointment scheduled, it was the next day. Idiots.

Amazing Psychiatrist!
Dr. Liang is a great doctor who listens and genuinely cares about her patients. She spends an adequate amount of time with patients and always asks if they have any other questions. Dr. Liang values patients' input and opinions on medications. She is very knowledgable and only gives medication if you have a proper diagnosis, which is great because oftentimes people get overprescribed. The only thing is that it is difficult to reach her outside of scheduled appointment times for questions, medication concerns, etc, and she is still only doing virtual visits.

I find her dismissive, disrespectful, and impersonal. She has forgotten her own recommendations to me. She has ignored issues I bring up about my current medications several times only to finally register them and blame me for not taking my meds properly, which I do. My appointment has been pushed back while I'm waiting because a pharma sales rep stopped by unannounced. I've seen her 1 hour late for a 10 minute visit where she again ignored my concerns. She's not a therapist, but still continues to suggest the same type of therapy despite always telling her it had been ineffective. She once suggested I "look on the bright side" to feel better. If I could do that, I wouldn't be seeing you. This is to say nothing of the reception staff. Who have been rude, antagonistic, disrespectful, and unhelpful. Her main concern appears to be money. She's there to prescribe the most expensive meds and kick you out the door. No care, no concern, no empathy.

I have been seeing Dr. Liang for about 6 months now. I find her very compassionate and helpful. I always feel like she is taking her time to understand me, and not rush through my appointment.

Very friendly doctor, however still very direct and thorough. I had a problem with a manic or hypomanic episode and Dr. Li Liang saw me the same day that she got my email. I was as clear as I could be about my symptoms and was prescribed another mood stabilizer to take "as needed" for sleep. I was very happy about this because even though it was a tranquilizer, it wouldn't be unnecessarily doping me out when I needed to be productive. Very good doctor in a crisis 5/5
