I waited an hour to be seen. when asking the front desk they said he always runs late and they knew before I even checked in and never said anything, when I complained I was treated so badly. they make comments behind my back but loud enough for me to hear. then when I saw the doctor, he was so unprofessional. He didn't even have me put on a gown asked me to drop my pants to look at the cyst on my groin. he barely looked at it and told me I would need to be put under and have surgery. comments by the staff continued. I was so uncomfortable, I left there in tears. I called my primary doctor who put me on antibiotics and gave me instructions and the cyst went away. I have NEVER in my life experienced such rudeness and disrespect. It was bad enough that the staff was rude, but then for the doctor to not only allow this but to join in on it was just appalling. I never do this, but I am going to add this review to as many sites as I can. I wouldn't want anyone else to go thru this

Do your Homework
I was treated by Dr. Haveran for a hemorrhoidectomy and had a terrible experience. The procedure was more significant than expected which can happen, but he completely downplayed how severe my recovery would be. I was told there were no restrictions and would be uncomfortable for the weekend. I am now 10 weeks post-op and am still unable to do normal daily activities and experiencing significant pain. I was seen by his NP for multiple follow-ups and was told this was part of the healing process. I was finally seen by Dr. Haveran 3 weeks ago, where he diagnosed me with a different issue and suggested another surgery before even examining me. I decided to get a 2nd opinion at MGH where they were surprised with his post-op approach, noting that a hemorrhoidectomy is the most significant surgery they do in their division. They also confirmed that he misdiagnosed me in my recent appt. and I do not require another surgery. Please do your own homework if being seen by Dr. Haveran!

Dr Haveran is by far one of the most caring, thorough doctors out there! His office team is beyond amazing. It is a blessing that we had Dr H during Mom's emergency needs, and he continues to surprise us daily with his total warmth to us all. He is meticulous regarding his plan & keeps us updated as does his staff. We couldn't have asked for better medical care! Thank you! Cyndi T & family of Marcia A

Caring and willing to listen to and work with his patients. Excellent skills. I wish I had had him as my surgeon for my initial surgery in 2013.

I had surgery to remove internal and external hemorrhoids several months ago. He spent a lot of time explaining my options. Once we made a decision to go ahead with the surgery, he outlined the details, the preparation and recovery. The prep and hospital staff at Cape Cod Hospital were much better than I had expected. He even took time to talk to my wife. My recovery went very well and included several follow up exams. My experience with Dr. Haveran was very positive.
