Dismissive beyond belief
I went in with a small list of issues. He stared at me and listened but dismissed all of my 'problems' . I asked for a referral to a specialist and he said, 'they aren't going to do anything'Changed doctors immediately when I got home.

Dr. Johnson has been a disappointment. Our region has a difficult time securing physicians, so I was looking forward to continuing my healthcare and hoping that he would be able to deliver the same level of care as my previous physician who had retired. I have never been treated by a physician who does not make any physician contact with his patient (the medical assistant took temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.) which was the only time I was touched. This has been my experience for 4 visits (annual exams and two other). He didn't really have any new suggestions nor options for treatment. He appears disinterested in healthcare management of his patients - looks his checklist and moves on. I truly wished I had chosen a different primary physician - it's difficult to move to another now. St. Joseph Healthcare needs to do a better job of interviewing their physicians...His bedside manner falls flat. Even his affect is flat - no smiles, frowns...
