Unprofessional Approach
Dr. Lemay's informality is disarming initially, but unfortunately I'm afraid it goes too far. Within the first 5 minutes of my first appointment, she violated HIPAA twice by 1.) pointing to a photo of a patient on her desk and telling me that person's condition and 2.) answering an emergency call from a patient on speakerphone, where the patient identified themselves by first and last name AND explained their medical emergency. On my second visit, while conducting a nerve test and making small talk, she used transphobic language. Finally, she prescribed me a high dosage of a drug that I had never had before. After taking it once and becoming extremely disoriented I did some research, and the dosage she had given me was 3x higher than the average initial dosage for someone with my condition. In the end, she did properly diagnose my condition, but her method of explaining it was so confusing and informal that I ended up finding another neurologist as soon as possible.

Great (and charmingly unconventional) doctor
Really great experience! Dr. LeMay is bit of an unconventional doctor, and I could see how that might rub some people the wrong way - for me and I suspect most people it's a huge benefit, however in that she and her office are very informal and even familiar - so much so that I almost felt like it was my aunt treating me and not a doctor. That said she clearly knows what she is doing and is at the top of her game - several other specialists called her for consults during my visit, which I didn't see as an annoyance since it clearly shows other experts value her opinion, so I knew I was in good hands. She really took time to explain things with me - and there were several 'regulars' in the waiting room who she was on a first-name and very friendly basis with, so I can tell she's much beloved by other patients, so that's a good sign, too. Very highly recommended.

She listens and works at finding answers.
She and her staff and my primary care physician got me in to see Dr. LeMay when I needed help. She was thorough in her testing of my problem, and fun besides that. I rate her very high at this point!

What a relief
I called to make an appointment to see Dr. LeMay and because I was a new patient I thought it would be a while before she’d be able to see me. This concerned me because I thought the symptoms would subside by then and she wouldn’t be able to help me. The first available appointment was a week away but she was able to fit me in in 24 hours. I got to the office and the first thing I noticed was how clean and organized it was and then I noticed the door that was artistically covered in greeting cards and well wish notes from previous patients. There was no wait in the office when I signed in. Dr. LeMay was very personable and easy to talk to. She explained in detail the exam she was doing and what the results revealed. She got to the root of the problem in one visit. She also showed me how to get the relief I needed from a medical and a holistic approach incorporating massage

Most help I've had in ages!
I went through the hospital, multiple doctors, and specialists and they were stumped with what was wrong. Went to Dr. Lemay and she put everything into words I was experiencing and was very kind. She does talk fast but it's because she knows so much and if you ask her to write something down for you she will. She gave me some handouts, diet, exercise instructions and I had some nerve block injections. Now I know how to proceed with my health journey. I was impressed with how much she could tell me about my own body in 30 mins.

Dr LeMay
Dr LeMay was the doctor that answered the question as to why I was feeling awful. For years I suffered, then she had a spinal tap test on me. MS. That was my biggest health issue and she is doing everything to help me. She is knowlegble, highly regarded, compassionate and kind.

Lemay was the first neurologist I saw for vertigo and dizziness, and she diagnosed me with vestibular migraines. She did a muscle test that showed nothing (the bill for it was quite high, and I was never warned that this treatment might be expensive) and prescribed me Flexeril, a muscle relaxer. She then gave me a series of injections that were supposed to desensitize the nerves and muscles that contribute to the migraines, but I went home and immediately had another vertigo episode. I called to follow up and Lemay told me that it the treatment might have been too much for me. After a month on Flexeril, I spent weeks trying to schedule a phone consult, and after finally getting through, I told her I felt worse and asked if she recommended anything else. She told me to stick with it, make sure I'm hydrating by eating soup, and only spent 2 minutes with me but charged a full visit. Another neurologist told me that Flexeril was the last thing he'd prescribe for vestibular migraines.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lemay's for over 8 years and my experience has been great. I suffer from chronic migraines and she is extremely knowledgeable about treatments. At my most recent visit, it had been over 3 years since I'd seen her and she never made me feel bad for not coming in sooner. I also told her I was taking 3 new medications for mental health conditions. She carefully reviewed each of them with me and prescribed new migraine meds that would not interact with them. There have been times where she has talked too fast, but I never feel uncomfortable asking her to repeat herself or explain something further. She is always so kind. I also never feel like she throws medication at me. She'll demonstrate stretches for migraine pain relief, give diet suggestions, and review other triggers to avoid. There have been times where she's called me after hours to check on me and it makes me feel so well cared for. Also, the staff is amazing! I think these other reviews are older.

Dr Lemay is caring and thorough. She explains in detail and is open to discussion. She spends as much time as needed with patient and family. Maria is very efficient, prompt and helpful. She relates messages and follows up with the patient and the doctor. I gave no complaints about the doctor or the staff. I also like the fact that Medical students from Keck USC rotate through her office and have the opportunity to practice and participate in the patient’s care. I recommended this great neurologist and her staff.

Dr. Lemay is one of the most intelligent, caring physicians I have encountered. She is thorough and an excellent listener -- such an important and rare quality among doctors who are so rushed these days. I can't understand negative reviews regarding her staff: I met Maria today and was expecting an unpleasant experience based on a few online reviews, but she couldn't have been more accommodating, kind and patient... clearly those disgruntled posters have problems of their own.

Dr. Lemay is very intelligent, thorough, and caring. She took the extra time to make sure i understood everything, and she went above and beyond with my exams and did some extra steps and ended up finding what was wrong with the extra steps she took. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful and very polite. Over the phone, the staff even went above and beyond to help me every time i have called. Everyone answered all of my questions thoroughly and i would highly recommend this office.

I’m a current patient of Dr. Lemay and I dread going to my visits. Maria, who does scheduling, etc. is NOT JUST rude. Maria is abusive. From the most simple question (i.e., I repeated my appointment date and asked her to pls confirm. She literally said in the most demeaning tone that she won’t repeat or confirm it because she already said it once) to any other question, she makes it the worst doctor visit experience. I have anxiety attacks just thinking I have to call and make an appointment.

Dr. Lemay's office is a nightmare. Maria who runs the office is rude, hostile and unprofessional. She insisted I pay cash, because my insurance card had not arrived. She refused to call and verify that I was covered. I paid the $500 cash to later find out that my insurance had also paid for the visit. I have been trying to get reimbursed for over a year. I also requested my records and was rudely told that they are not a Kinkos. Life is too short to deal with Maria. Bye!

I was brutally beaten and as a result received a concussion. I was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome a week after it happened due to lingering effects such as slow speech, sleep issues, memory issues, slow response times, trouble concentrating, being tired, etc. These are typical concussion symptoms. Dr. Lemay saw me in her office, not an exam room, and barely looked at my chart and did not examine me. She just said I feel for what you're going through but you just have to give yourself ti
