Doctor Elkayam is a physician’s physician. He takes great care of all of his patients with exceptional skill and compassion and treats all of his patients as family.

After 5 years in the care of a remarkable Cardiologist, Dr. Lior Elkayam, MD, I recently feel compelled to take some time to officially recognize him in a meaningful way for the impact he has had on my life. It may be difficult to identify and locate the brightest medical professionals and those most highly recognized by their industry peers, but in my case, he found me at a time of great peril and my family is greatly blessed by this divine appointment. I am a 25 year (Major U.S.) Airline Captain who became very ill with need of immediate Heart surgery in 2014. Dr. Elkayam was highly engaged from Day-1. Personable, caring, and very kind, Dr. Elkayam got me on the schedule (arguably) with the finest Heart Surgeon in the United States and he remains fully engaged in my care to this day. It is a great privilege to be in his care. You can have a leading Cardiologist "in the family" as he represents himself, his industry, and his patients with the highest dignity in health Care every day

Doctor Elkayam is on time, very accessible and extremely intelligent. He listens to what you have to say and takes everything into account. He explains things very well and only does the testing that is necessary . His medical and personal intelligence are extremely impressive ;and ,while he is not a risk taker, he does not forbid everything on the side of caution. I would strongly encourage choosing him .He took me through a heart attack , a catheterization and a stent placement, episodes of atrial fibrillation and several other issues with sympathy and calm intelligence.In all situations his judgment proved to be right on target . His care, treatment and advice allows me to live a normal and healthy life.

DR. ELKAYAM IS A TRUE HEART DOCTOR! He's got heart to heal hearts- Physical heart, as well as the holistic being. He orchestrated his appointments to fit us in, in less than a week. Dr. Elkayam and his whole staff were great: thorough, asking specific detailed questions, gathering the information needed for analyzing of status prior to offering treatment plan; kind, offering water; sweet smiles... GREAT MIXTURE OF KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, COMPASSION & HUMOR

Dr. Elkayam is terrific. He is compassionate, caring, thorough, careful in his assessments, expert in his specialty, and he asks many questions to make sure he has accurate information about my current status to recommend the best steps back to full health. And he really listens. He as always made me feel like an active partner in my treatment. Although I know he is very busy, I have never felt like he was rushing me to move on to the next patient. I drive 3 hours to see him. He's worth it!

Dr. Elkayam works with the technician, for example, when you have an Echocardiogram, so you know nothing is ever missed. He properly diagnosed me with a faulty valve and a blocked artery. He saw that I got the best treatment possible and monitored me, which gave me great confidence during my recovery. I am very grateful that I made the decision to put my heart medical issues in the hands of Dr. Elkayam! In addition to his technical knowledge he is an incredibly caring doctor!
