Dr. Lornalyn Carrillo, MD

I love Dr Carillo. I want to update my review from 2017. She is empathetic and caring. She figures out and puts a name to your diagnosis. She listens to you. She goes over the top to help. Her office is still not the best. Depends on the day. I trust Dr Carillo and will not stop seeing her due to this office situation.

Doctor Carillo herself is very helpful but unfortunately her office is not. Whenever I call her the call goes directly to voice-mail. They never respond or do what you ask of them to do. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for them to return my call when the message on the voice-mail is that they will call me back for non urgent purposes in 5 business days. Wait time is really long and the patient rooms are so tiny AND NOT ADA friendly. I was barely able to fit in the room myself. Can't imagine how others with wheelchairs are able to get their privacy and fit in the room alone. But Dr. Carillo was super sweet and helpful. She's very kind and caring towards her patients.

Very hard to schedule appointment, always get voicemail, they do not call back or respond to my messages, they put me on hold for long time. She needs more staff to attend to her client calls, messages, questions, request, etc

This office is a great example of our broken healthcare system. Prepare to be frustrated, wait forever, and to receive completely inadequate care. After waiting over an hour for my appointment, the doctor told me that she does not know much about the very common health condition I came in did. I was referred to a specialist when a primary care doctor should have been able to treat me. The specialist told me there would be a four month wait because the doctor did not accurately do my referral.

I have been a patient of Dr Carillo's for almost 10 years. I have never found her to be anything but compassionate and knowledgeable. After all these years we have a very "easy" relationship. I cannot highly recommend the front office though. They are very cold and uninviting. They are somewhat slow to return calls.. I give the office a 2.5 but Dr Carillo a 5.
