Dr. Louis Bonavita Jr, MD

My parents have been patients of dr bonavita for over thirty years. My father has recently passed. I have been waiting for a call back from the office to get a hospice referral for my mother for five days. I have even left several priority messages.

Just days ago I developed a very bad cough and needed to see a doctor. CNY managed to get me in right away and I had the good fortune to see Dr Bonavita Jr.I know when excellent medical care comes my way and my visit to Dr B was a great experience. I was impressed with the doctors skill; thankfully diagnosed quickly and accurately. Thank goodness I met Dr B since I was walking around with pneumonia !His prescribed medication is working great and I am significantly improved in just 48 hours.I believe Dr Bonavita Jr is a compassionate person and excellent physician.

This is one great doctor! Very caring and listens well! I’m a nurse,so impressing me is difficult- we are patients for life.

I’ve seen Dr Bonavita since he was at North medical. That was the day I would recommend him, but no more. Recently, I had to have some major surgery and became allergic to my diabetes med. dr. B found a med I could take but my insurance company would not except it. I was told for a year that he was trying to set appointments with the insurance company to find out that it never happened. He also never charted any of my notes so I could not get my medicine. The nurses yelled at me! I left a message when I ran out of the samples that I was given and they never called me back for two months. I was without my diabetes meds for two months. They screamed and yelled at me because I kept calling. Dr. B finally kicked me out of the practice. I was without my meds! Absolutely no concern. Very disappointing. I know Am fighting to bring my sugar down & trying a new medicine with a new Doctor Who cares. My life has been put in danger I’m not trying to get me the medicine I needed.

Hubby and I have been going to Dr. B for Well over 20 years. His bedside manner is great. For us, he's like a friend who happens to be a great doctor. If we don't agree with something, we have good open minded discussions about it it. He's a great advocate when my insurance gives us trouble. If we can't get in right away to see him, we ask who he suggests at CNY Fam. Care and he always gives great advice.

Dr. Bonavita has helped my family out in so many ways from me, my daughter, parents and brother. His compassion is unparalleled and he is a fierce advocate for his patients. He is a one of a kind class act and top notch doctor and we are lucky to gave him.

I have been going to Dr. Bonavita and his practice since they were at North Medical Center. I never was able to see the same physician twice, they are extremely over booked and I was tossed from one doctor to the next. One of their NP that was there named Kristin was very unprofessional and did not know what to do with me. Instead of referring me out she kept guessing! I now go to another practive that does not see patient's every 5 minutes. Go elsewhere.

Dr.Bonavita has been our doctor for many years and has helped us thru the years. He takes all the time you need to answer your questions and concerns, always there if we need him.he is a amazing doctor and a wonderful human being. He is our rock!

I have been a patient for over 30 years. Dr B is a knowledgeable and personable doctor, the best. However, there appears to be a high turnover in nurses and other staff., which results in inefficiency. He’s always booked up 2 to 3 months, too many patients. As the practice grows the quality of care diminishes. I’m currently considering finding another doctor.

As a doctor in trade dr. bonavita is well versed in most if not all your medical needs.he has an excellent bedside manner .However the positives stop there.He and his staff are always too busy.Heck, to get an appt. with 'my' doctor there is a 3 month wait! They said to keep calling and maybe i'll get lucky with a cancellation.Paperwork that only needed to be signed and faxed to my disability insurance carrier never got completed after a month.Cny family care is too big.You're just a number..
