Carelessness nearly cost me my life.
Dr. Gianutsos was in charge of discharge instructions that incorrectly claimed I had no infection in my toes. Despite the original plan as having been to keep on IV anti-biotics pending a culture result - he discharged me early - and the discharge instructions included the wording "unresulted tests: none" - this turned out to be false - there was an unresulted test and it came back positive for a staph infection. Doctors at Swedish Medical Center claimed for five weeks that all my labs looked good - never informing me of the positive result (apparently they never bothered to read it.)
