Amazing Doctor
I took my daughter for GI problems and have never had an experience like I had with Dr Mizell. He spends sooo much time w your kiddo. His manner is kind and asks lots of questions that are easy for them to answer. He is kind and gentle and explains alll of the things he may think are the problem but also explains why he doesn’t think they are the other. He encourages no invasive tests and I just wish all doctors were like him!!

LOVE THIS MAN!
He gives his whole heart and reminds me a small town doc but with all the technology and experience of modern day. He could be off doing a million other things but he choses his patients every time. I love him!

Sadly, no I would not recommend this office to my family or friends. After what seemed to be a promising initial consultation with the doctor, who did have great bedside manner with our son, I was then extremely shocked by the exorbitant bill we received. Once we had a testing procedure done it was extremely difficult to get ahold of the office or get the doctor to call back regarding results. He just kept throwing prescriptions out as an answer. It is really disheartening to be dealing with a chronically ill child only to then be slapped in the face with an utterly outrageous bill, and the need to go to a second doctor for more help and information. I understand a consult may be several hundred dollars, which we were prepared for, but $1100 for 20 minutes of no real help or answers is disgusting and price-gouging. Shame on an office for doing this to families who just want help for their sick children.

My experience with Dr. Mizell's office has been hands down the worst I've ever had. I've called dozens of times and been on hold for up to 30min. Voicemail said we'd receive a call back within 24 hrs and we didn't. I needed a prescription sent in and he sent the wrong thing. I called back and the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude when I asked how he sent the wrong stuff. She said he was in a rush and didn't look at my records. I don't feel like I can trust him and received nothing but disrespect.

Sure miss Dr. Mizell and his sense of humor and great, relaxed bedside manner. He is VERY easy to talk with, understand. It is AWESOME that HE himself calls you back, just in case you have extra questions! He is very compassionate and knows is stuff!!! We have been transferred away and truly miss him caring for our two kids that have GI issues. He is a WONDERFUL and caring doctor who has your best interest at heart.

Dr. Mizell takes his time to both review history and ask questions. He explains options in depth and discusses routes we could take with both of my kids. My son had been having serious issues and has been going to PCH for 2.5 years. One visit with Dr. Mizell and we switched. He took the time to look at all possible issues and ordered a simple test that hadnt been offered by his team at PCH. It showed a big issue and since changing diet my son no longer complains of feeling sick and has gained lb

I can't pick 0 stars unfortunately. He must pay people for the higher stars reviews. It was a waste of time to see him for my baby. He needs to go back and study medicine. I know it's not right to give babies steroids. Don't waste your time here go to primary children's instead.

Dr. Mizell was a pleasure. He had my 16 year old daughter at ease within minutes. He spent an hour with us and was very thorough in getting a medical history on the first visit as well as explaining the various possibilities of diagnosis and how we would proceed. He also has a great sense of humor.
