Dr. Lourdes Aponte, MD

My cardiologist referred me to this doctor. The earliest appointment they could give me was in three months, which was today. They cancelled today’s appointment over the phone and told me the earliest next appointment was in two months. Completely ridiculous.

I've been waiting a long time to see a Rheumatologist here in Delaware. Dr. Aponte was recommended to me by my PCP, so I was looking forward to actually being listened to and to finally be given a treatment plan for a raft of unexplained and worrying symptoms. I found her to be friendly, but she was condescending, didn't really listen and near enough dismissed all my symptoms and long-standing conditions that I already have diagnoses for. I have a rare connective tissue disorder that she told me I didn't have, despite knowing absolutely nothing about me and doing no real empirical testing. I came prepared with a list of conditions and symptoms and written medical history, which I thought would help. She rushed through it and dismissed most of it. She kept answering my questions before I had a chance to. To me it seemed as though she had made her diagnosis before I had even walked through the door and had decided that she didn't have time for me. Very frustrating. Very disappointing.

Dr Aponte takes the time to listen and cares about finding the answers to your health concerns. Her staff is very pleasant and professional.

Dr. Aponte is obviously quite knowledgeable. She spent a great deal of time with me (as did her nurse). She REALLY read through my medical history. I feel she will be able to address many issues that have been left unattended. Her front desk staff members were friendly and polite.

Dr. Aponte and staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. It is nice to have a doctor who listens to what her patients are saying rather than one that talks at them. Dr. Aponte is thorough, caring, and gives great advice.

Dr Aponte and her staff are some of the nicest medical people you will ever meet. Dr Aponte recently diagnosed me for a condition other Drs missed. Her staff, especially Amanda at the front desk, answer the phone themselves with a helpful attitude and a large amount of understanding. Do not hesitate to see Dr Aponte.

Inconsistent. sometimes, she can be terrific-friendly and helpful. Other times, she is rushed, curt, thinks she knows the answer before you finish and condescending. Last visit was awful-i had to raise my voice to get her to listen and then she offered no help. very frustrating. staff is good.

Dr Aponte and staff are always nice and respectful. No problem dealing with her office with any questions or concerns

I have been a paitient of this office for a few years. The Dr and Staff have been excellent to work with. I have no complaints. Outstanding !

Dr. Aponte is very professional and has excellent bedside manners. She makes you feel like she is your good friend. You feel very comfortable with her. She takes the time to explain blood work in detail. She makes recommendations if it is needed. If you have questions she takes the time to answer them and make the recommendations as needed. She is very thorough and you will leave her office very satisfied. I have been going to her for the past ten years and I am very satisfied with her.

She offers suggestions for treatment that I would not have thought of. She is calming, although sometimes rushed she is able to answer my questions professionally and completely I go in with a list and go down the list and leave only when I am satisfied having the ability to have lab work done there and be treated there as well as the cooperation and help from her front office staff is very appealing I have referred several friends to her office and they have been very satisfied with her.

Dr. Aponte, is very professional and through. Her recommendations and comments proved to be very correct. I was very please with her review and treatment. I am experiencing great results due to her recommendations. Her bedside manner is excellent. Highly recommend her to any once that has arthritis. Bob Bonham
