Lourdes Uribe is not supportive of VBAC. She only wants to do repeat C sections and to me this is a RED FLAG. During my first prenatal visit Dr. Uribe refused to answer my questions. She literally handed me the number to another doctor. She did not give me a due date for my baby. During the sonogram, she would not let me hear the heartbeat of my baby because she was preoccupied with whatever she was doing with her screen. She acted as though my concerns were beneath her and told me I should go back and ask the previous OBGYN why did they allow a caesarean if it is so harmful to future pregnancies. When I asked her for additional information on the risks, she gave me a hospital consent form. Her info on the uterine is so 1982-1987. Even ACOG supports VBAC as a safe and reasonable option. In 1916 Edwin Craigins claimed once a cesarean always a cesarean. The goal is to find a provider who views vaginal birth after cesarean as a normal process, who is not afraid to support you.

My experience with dr Uribe was a nightmare ! I will not go into details but she dropped me as a patient because I was switching insurance to cobra , I was days from delivering when she called me and said to pick up my medical record , even after offering to pay cash for my services!

Dr. Uribe and her staff are the best! Let's just say I moved to Waco and now Austin 7 years ago, and I still see her and Kareena Garza, PA. I make the drive or make an appt to see them when I am home for a long weekend. I refuse to see another doctor, and I will continue to choose them as my practitioners. They make you feel so comfortable and relaxed and I can not recommend them enough. The office staff is friendly and they always welcome you with a smile.

This is a doctor who gives her cell phone number to patients and answers/texts at all hours. She is amazing, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She has a great PA, as well; even if Uribe is not available, I feel well taken care of. I’ve called several times with inminent health issues and I am immediately squeezed in that day. I’ve called after hours when a prescription didn’t go through to my pharmacy and she has faxed in medication from home. I can’t speak enough praises! She is wonderful!

Dr. Uribe and her colleague are very professional. They are very friendly and make you feel so comfortable. They are very thorough when providing care. I now live in Austin and drive the 6 hours to see her. I refuse to find anyone else, because I know I would not find anyone else who would come close. I highly recommend her and her colleague.
