Dr. Luana Pillon, MD

Thanks to DR PILLON and her care Ím here, she gave me hope after I was told by other doctors there was none and wanted me to start dialysis. Dr Pillon listened to my needs and we created a plan and with wonderful medical care she even called me from Doctors conventions telling me super exited there was a new medicine we could try for my IGA , she was able to help me avoid dialysis for 5 more years, I finally started dialysis last February 2024 I did PD which I highly recommend to anyone that wants a more normal life, i did it while sleeping st night and was able to get up and kept working , Dr Pillon quickly started the process at UMC to be put on the transplant list, and I only waited 10 months before getting the call of a match. I’m so thankful for Dr. Luana Pillon she became our friend, Having her by my side as support through this journey has been so much easier and her knowledge helped me make the best decisions about my care.THANK YOU DR. I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Pillon, as someone with health and kidney issues it is important to have a good doctor and she is the best. Dr. Pillon is always thoughtful, thorough, and as a patient I feel listened to. Most importantly, my health is in the best hands possible.

Laura Pillon has very poor bedside manner. She spoke down to us always, and insulted us because I had to speak for my husband due to his memory. She would ask, 'Who's the Pt here?"...and he wouldn't know what to say. That was mean and insensitive to my poor husband who eventually didn't want to go anymore. So it does us no good if she's a smart doctor...he won't go because she's rude!!!! Her office Secretary kept calling us about a referral and she already had it all along...just not on the ball at all over there!!!

Dr. Pillon is so knowledgeable and thorough. She is very detailed and explains all options clearly. I feel very well cared for by her and her staff.

I love Dr. Pillon! I appreciate her so much. I’ve been in Vegas for 15 years and bounced around from nephrologist to nephrologist until I found her. She truly cares about her patients, is thorough, takes time to explain things, stays up to date on research on the field, listens to you, and really makes herself accessible. She is very attentive and listens. She spends whatever amount of time you need. She looks at your whole health and works in conjunction with other doctors to make sure you take a holistic approach to your health. She doesn't rush to make a decision on your health. She listens and learns from what you tell her.

Dr. Pillon is the best doctor I have ever came across. She really really cares about her patients. She's my kidney doctor but she checks on me as if she's my main doctor. She is very personable & attentive. No waiting in the office. Dr Pillon spent as much time as needed to go over concerns . A plan was always discussed before leaving the appt & the next visit began with a review of how the plan worked out between visits. An excellent doctor!
