Dr. Lucien Ouellette, MD

I was referred to this doctor by a dermatologist who suspected I had spinal problems. I have a history of osteoporosis and scoliosis. The doctor was not friendly and I had the impression he felt I was wasting his time.

I've been dealing with pain for so many years now and have done so many test and imaging and there's never really an answer. Dr. Ouellette not only went over every aspect of the images with me but he thoroughly explained all the different details as to what is happening and what we can do to start correcting it. I don't think anyone has ever been this thorough which allowed me to better understand what's happening inside my body. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing ortho care and physical therapy

I went to the OrthoVirginia office in my town as a walk-in patient and seen immediately by Dr. Ouellette. His staff was friendly, efficient and most accommodating. The doctor was able to access my x-rays, explain what is going on, and provide the exact help that I needed. He was respectful, kind, and exceedingly knowledgeable. I will recommend Dr. Ouellette to everyone that I know.

Dr. Ouellette and his staff were wonderful! They were attentive, thorough, and really took the time to assess the injury and explain the diagnosis. I highly recommend!

Dr. Ouellette is an excellent Physician. Not only is he knowledgeable, he is very competent. The best thing about being treated by Dr. Ouellette is that he is compassionate and caring. The icing on the being treated by Dr. Ouellette cake is that he listens and he is patient and treats his patients like human beings who came to him because they are in pain.

After not even introducing himself and not following Covid protocols, (Wearing a half tied mask and offering a DRINKING FOUNTAIN when I asked for a cup for water , Snubbed me for having MAINE care , the only question he asked me is what I did to cause my medical problem , I felt worse after his dismissive an misogynistic attitude, He offered no answers to my questions and did a as little as possible to help only to abruptly leave.

Never would I recommend this DR. He walked in with his mask undone, didn’t hand sanitizer and didn’t care at all. He disregarded all COVID protocols , telling us to drink from a drinking fountain and not using any PPE. His bedside manner was deplorable. He didn’t answer any questions, refused to recommend referrals and criticized us for having mainecare. My partner has been in significant pain for 3+ weeks and we finally went into the walk in b/c it was intolerable. He left feeling worse, not listened to and with the recommendation of using “clean tennis ball “to roll on his gluts for debilitating Sciatica

My 75 year old aunt with vascular dementia had an appointment with this doctor today for her knees. It took me longer than I expected to get her out of the assisting living facility where she resides. We were, as a result, 10 minutes late, and I called the office to alert them. When we arrived the admin assistant explained that it was “out of her hands” and the doctor would not see us. I found this act extremely lacking in compassion. Good luck to you, Dr. Ouellette, when you yourself have an aging relative with dementia and you are 10 minutes late!

Whatever the issue, Dr. Ouellette gets to the bottom of the issue and helps heal the pain with care and concern. He and his staff are very professional!

Any questions I asked were answered in a caring and professional way.

Dr. Ouellette has cared for my entire family at one point or another, on numerous occasions, for years. I find him to be at his utmost professional at all times. He is always willing to work with myself and my family members to come up with the very best game plan of care each and every time. I'm not sure what we would have done over the years if it weren't for Dr. Ouellette!

I went to OA in Saco, ME to see Dr Ouellette after tearing my Achilles. He was thorough, efficient, and polite. He quickly diagnosed my condition and the severity of the tear, and discussed several options for treatment along with the pros and cons for each option. After we determined the best option was surgery, he then explained how that would be done at the OA center in Portland as well as what the probable physical therapy needs would be. After the surgery and PT, I am back to 100%.

My son was having heel problems during football season. After hobbling around for 6 weeks, we were able to get an appointment with Dr. Ouellette right away. He took an x-ray and explained that he had a problem with his growth plate. He recommended PT. Since OA has PT in the same building it was easy for us to get to. The PT helped and he has not had a problem since. I highly recommend Dr. Ouellette.

The visit was so positive that I have referred my own daughter to Dr. Ouellette and also referred a dear friend. Both have thanked me for the referral.

I went to see Dr. Ouellette after suffering with severe shoulder pain for a year after a fall. It was impacting my job as a personal trainer. After imaging, he recommended a shot. It's been over a month and I'm feeling great. I'm back to my regular activities. Dr. Ouellette has a great manner and helped me through the decision making. I'll be going back if necessary.

He fixded my hand up wicked gud and now it don't break no more.

Dr. Ouellette is thoughtful and thorough. I felt comfortable with the plan and he explained everything very well.

Very arrogant, boardering rude. Doesn't explain himself, his plan or his reasoning. Terrible listener and he comes off very closed minded. Doubt I'll go back probably will try another physician at OA, as the group has a really great rep. Supporr staff was effective, efficient, and polite!

Great with my son for his radial and ulna fractures and with his clavicle fracture.
